We stopped at the Lighthouse Gallery on our fall vacation in Maine. The gallery beautifully displays work of local artists in a variety of styles. I purchased a Christmas quilted table topper and water color artwork of Maine landmarks and animals. The gallery is located on the river in Bucksport and the views of fall color are spectacular. We will be back!

Don’t forget to stop at this small yellow Rock Shop either on the way to Acadia Natl. Park or on the way back. Our family always stops here on the way home from Acadia. It’s worth the trip! This is a small shop where you can pick up rocks, stones, rock figures, Petrified forest rocks, etc. It is located very close to the Bucksport Bridge. Our kids love to pick up interesting rocks as a souvenir from Maine. Prices range from $1 stones on up. We met the owner on this visit (very nice gentleman, he will remind you of your grandpa). Said he picks up his rocks from Maine & Rock Shows. Owner & staff are very nice & knowledgeable about their merchandise.

I love walking here with friends. I enjoy seeing birds, ducks loons etc and also the flowers. It is the perfect length for a lovely walk and there are plenty of benches if you need to rest.
