We had a fantastic, memorable family experience here! The session was very well organised and managed, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the animals were all well cared for and loved, and there were lovely extra touches such as the tea and cake, feeding the other animals as well as the alpacas, and the sweet little shop of souvenirs! The booking system was straightforward and effective, with clear information on what to expect and how to come prepared, as well as reminders running up to the event. We would definitely recommend the experience!

Me and my partner LOVE and I can’t tell you enough of how much we love their raw milk, it’s on a different level of milk. You get a taste of the countryside and you know where you milk comes from - your good old local farm, on local grass and family run business. The farm shop has lovely variety when buying food for the week and weekend. The meat they have in stock- try it and you’ll know what I mean. MUST MUST VISIT if you want to fresh local milk. Try the raw cream - wow! That is something else as well!

Booked some hacking here, our experience level was not very high but the staff were all very nice and helpful and managed to organise something very fun and rewarding. The horses all seem to be very happy and in good shape, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It is possible to walk here from Amersham (you can cross the main road on a footpath to join Cherry Lane) although it would take some time.

Orchard View Farm

Orchard View Farm is a working farm with a cafe, farm shop and butchery hidden away in a small hamlet in Little Meadle. About Us... Our farm is family run and staffed by quite the loveliest people we know. Together we are building a ‘home from home’ for family and friends to gather and enjoy our lovingly prepared food, surrounded by the beautiful animals that keep this place running. Our philosophy is simple; we believe that our animals deserve the very best and that our customers deserve exactly the same. That means a great quality of life for our animals and great quality food at great prices for our customers. All of our food is fresh from the farm or selected from fabulous local suppliers, we are open six a days a week, all year long.

Stopped off to visit the farm shop and discovered they also have a cafe. When I say cafe, it is much more than that, as the meat comes from the farm butcher. My daughter had slices of lamb with Greek salad, I had a picnic box with scotch egg, half a homemade sausage roll, home made quiche and some coleslaw and my wife an avocado, bacon and chicken salad. Everything tasted really fresh and the lamb was so tender, having been cooked on the open grill. Really well thought out, too, with the social distancing etc; order and pay via the website, so make sure you have a phone. Couldn’t fault it and we’ll definitely be back...the rib eye steak and wine for £20 really took my eye! Only thing I would suggest, for lunches, are smaller bites like a steak sandwich, bacon and Brie sandwich etc

My small children absolutely loved visiting Santa at odds farm today. The staff/elves were so engaging and enthusiastic. We visited Santa, made a stuffed toy and then they got to pick out their own toy! The penguin show was fun and the children loved it. Lunch at the cafe was good and they thoroughly enjoyed the soft play...a really fun day, and good value for money.. Thank you to Santa and the elves!

Peterley Manor Farm

The farm originated from humble beginnings when the current owners, Roger and Jane, purchased the derelict site in 1982. Roger is the fourth generation of his family to farm, originally as pig farmers, he proceeded to develop a fruit and vegetable farm. From selling home-grown produce at the gate, the farm has developed into an extensive and multiple award-winning farm shop. The shop's ethos is to sell high quality, home-grown and locally-sourced produce where possible. The farm also has a thriving plant nursery open all year and a Pick Your Own which opens during the Summer months. The farm has steadily grown over the years to become one of Buckinghamshire's largest Christmas tree growers, selling a range of varieties and sizes year on year. The farm is now home to The Wild Strawberry Café, which 'popped up' in 2014 in a Mongolian Yurt! The café prides itself on serving seasonal, home-grown, rustic food as well as world class loose-leaf teas and freshly ground artisan coffees.

My husband and I were given this experience via Virgin from my mum for Christmas- we managed to book via email with no problems Arrived to see there were feet dips and hand washing facilities in the check in area due to covid19-well spaced out from the other two couples taking part in the same hour as us Hope checked us in, gave us a health and safety talk and then gave us a tour and plenty of information about the farm and the pigs! Very informative and interesting! Once we had been shown around, collected our brushes and we were left to enjoy our 1.5 hour pet and play. A mixture of pigs, all very friendly, loved our attention and a good brush! Well looked after and all had lovely big pens/areas! Got a T-shirt from the on site gift shop- plenty of other little items to take home too. Overall a lovely afternoon spent here and would certainly visit again! Piglets on the way soon too- so beautiful!

Green Dragon Eco Farm

Located in beautiful open countryside where there's plenty of space for families to explore. Most of the farm is laid out to paddocks for our rare breed farm animals and includes our Animal Barn and Pets' Corner where visitors can meet the animals at close quarters. As well as the farm trail, there's a nature trail that runs around the outskirts of the farm. Our outdoor play area is ideal for children to let off steam and, for all weather year round play, we have two barns, including soft play. There's freshly made, seasonal food in the Eco Centre restaurant that's supplied by local producers and from our own walled garden and orchard, where we grow heritage fruit and vegetables. The restaurant and shop are on the ground floor of our lovely timber-framed building, whilst on the first floor with stunning views is our purpose built conference/party room available for hire. Our Barn Cafe provides meals and snacks for young families.

We visit the wonderful Green Dragon Eco Farm are at least 4-5 times a year. It’s a place that really cares for their livestock and wildlife and if you get talking to the team who run it you’ll hear their passion when they share their knowledge. Honestly we’ve visited many farms and animal parks over the years but never found one that cares as much as this! Along with the normal farm animals you’ll find a wildlife zone - home to reindeer, wallabies, several different birds of prey, silver foxes, Eurasian lynx, Scottish wildcats, red squirrels and more. We don’t have kids so I can’t comment on the play areas. They look good to me but there’s probably bigger set ups in actual play centres. But if you want a mix of activities or your kids love animals, I can think of no better place! ????
