1. Half-day tour to the Mogoșoaia Palace by train from Bucharest
Close to Bucharest towards northeast, there is a little, though beautiful castle, on the shores of a beautiful lake, surrounded by parks. The nearest, Mogoşoaia, is built at the beginning of the 18th century, during a Renaissance of the arts in the Southern province of Romania. Built as a manor house between the then two most important cities - Bucharest and Târgovişte - under the reigning Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu, Mogoşoaia reminds of both the Venetian and the Turkish style. Together with the Southern Romanian popular style, these influences lead to the formation of the classical Southern Romanian style, which has been given the name Brâncoveanu's. 7. Day Trip to Brașov and Poiana Brașov by Train from Bucharest
The medieval city of Brașov is nonetheless worth a visit. Built by the Germans - the Transilvanian Saxons - it is now one of those cities, whose historical centre has remained preserved. Romanians and Saxons still live together - and a really interesting architectural and cultural mix resulted from that. The most importatnt ski resort of Romania is situated here - and we shall see it also on this tour. We shall walk on the most part of the route there. It is an easy road, but we still need to consider, it is an easy mountain pedestrian road.

8. Day excursion by train to Târgoviște
We shall meet at 7.00 am at the North Railway Station at the Information Desk to depart by train to Târgoviște. The town is important in the Romanian history - at the beginning it was the second capital city of Valahia, then it played an important role at the Romanian Revolution in 1989. Those two places we intend to visit. Optional, we shall visit the Police Museum. With a lunch break - each of us has the opportunity to eat and/or drink on an individual basis. Return to Bucharest, we shall arrive by train at 18.54.
