Vlad the Impaler stated his claim to Bucharest in 1459. His citadel on the Dambovita was the first of flotillas of palaces, many of which still stand. Four subway lines and a modern bus network transport visitors and commuters. Nicknamed "Little Paris", Bucharest's elegant early 20th-century architecture shows French influences. Don't miss the Village Museum, Romanian Athenaeum and the Peasant Museum. You can't miss the Palace of Parliament, the second-largest building in the world (after the Pentagon).

I cannot say enough good things about Toni Tatar. Ours is a unique story in that I was unable to go on the tour due to the COVID 19 quarantine. However, prior to this unexpected issue, Toni was incredible. We were to take a private tour to see my grandmother’s village which she left in 1907. Besides crafting the exact tour I wanted, Toni researched my family name in this area and found 7 other.relatives who emigrated at that time. Without his research the trip would have been much less meaningful. Toni was on top of all of our needs and wants. His kindness and professionalism came through in every email. Travel will eventually be safe again at which time I will go to Romania and meet this remarkable man. Most likely I will stay longer than planned in 2020 because of my comfort with working with him.

I booked this within 2 hours of the start of the tour on my last day in Belgrade and it was absolutely worth it. My guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough. He even took me to the airport at the end so that I could catch my flight. You know it was a good tour when you feel like you’re leaving the city too soon.

Adrian was prompt picking us up in the morning as we settled into a pleasant drive to Braşov. Stopped for a quick coffee about halfway. Adrian showed us around Braşov and gave us plenty of time to explore on our own. We then drove to Bran Castle and Adrian was so knowledgeable about the history as he gave us a private tour. Finally we went to Peles Castle and once again astounded us with his depth of knowledge. Amazing day, one a highly recommend.
