Such a peaceful park. Lots of Native American history. Lovely place great for bike riding. Very convenient to all vacation villages properties. Also easy walking around a small lake. We even watched kids fishing.

Welleby Park

There is no admission charge to utilize this park and also no charge to park your car. There are many pavilions that can be rented for picnics or outdoor birthday parties for a reasonable rate. The City of Sunrise does a great job catering to families and their residents. I am very glad that I moved here.

Charnow Park

Located just to the side of the Broadwalk at Garfield Street, this is just about a "beachfront" park. The centerpiece is a freshwater "splash fountain" to run through or play in. There is lots of seating, a few picnic tables, and there are restrooms. There are six paddle ball/handball courts.

I love this park for walks and bike rides. The sunset is splendid to watch by the lake and if you like you will spot burrowing owls, osprey and other birds.
