We have visited white barn fun farm each summer for the past 3 years and plan to continue doing that in the future. This sweet little place is so lovely, the tours are an absolute treat, for kids and adults alike. For a working busy farm its clean and there are so many friendly animals to fall in love.with. it's a perfect half day out for the whole family and gives a super educational introduction to farm life for all of us city slickers. Melissa, her husband and all the boys are very friendly and accommodating and allow a very hands on experience with their precious animals

one minute off the highway, where you see the shell station and Denny's, down the road a couple of blocks, there's an outdoor museum and this beautiful park across the street called Duke of Sutherland Park. here's why it's worth it: splash water park in summer, soccer and baseball fields, exercise machines (yup, outside gym), a hill to slide down or roll down on, picnic areas, dog walk, paved walks and lots of trees and grass, ample parking, jungle gym (safe kind, etc. So get off the highway for a min, stretch your legs, and shake it up a bit. Now, for the downside. if you smell a few cows, well, this is cow and pig farm country. if you are not used to farms, you might get a whiff of where your meals come from. great time to educate the little ones, I'm thinking. Brooks is a nice place, with great people, and this Duke of Sutherland Park is more then worth a stop on your journey or as a destination.

We stopped in on our way to Cypress Hills and were glad we did. All the beers we tried were great and the burgers were really solid as well. The tiki torque in particular was great. Nice to see a really solid brewery in a small town, they could easily compete with the Calgary breweries.

This 3km long concrete aqueduct was built 90 years ago to bring irrigation water across a long, shallow valley. Today, it tells the story of the Canadian Pacific Railway and Alberta's Eastern Irrigation District.

Just 6 kilometres east of Brooks, Tillebrook offers Trans-Canada Highway travellers a quiet shady oasis surrounded by prairie grassland. The campground is an excellent location for day excursions to nearby Dinosaur and Kinbrook Island provincial parks.
Quiet nice size campground with lots of trees. Facilities are well maintained. Not far from Lake Newell. Grounds are well maintained also. Just needs some dead trees cleared up front since it looks unkept and ignored

Come experience the beauty of the prairies at The Brooks Golf Club. Our 18 hole course is located in the City of Brooks, Alberta. Which is on the Number 1 Highway between Medicine Hat and Calgary Alberta. The Brooks Golf Club will give you the natural prairie golf experience like no other and public is always welcome.
Perfect weather. Played 9 holes, course is in excellent condition. We took a power Cart, but very very walkable. Some sand, some water, some trees. Nice clubhouse.
