Australia’s third-largest city, Brisbane is the hub of Queensland culture, offering a peek at the past and a glimpse into the future. Visit the historic Windmill and Old Commissariat Store, built by convicts in 1828, or fast-forward to the present (and beyond) with a trip to the new Gallery of Modern Art. Mingle with locals atop Mount Coot-tha, cruise the Brisbane River to South Bank’s sandy beach on the City Cat and make sure to fill the cuteness quota at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, home to koalas and kangaroos.

The Davies Park Market is held every Saturday from 6am – 2pm at Davies Park, West End. A weekly community event featuring music with fresh produce and healthy fast food, fashion and gifts under a canopy of glorious giant fig trees. Davies Park Market West End has a wide array of products and produce that you won't find anywhere else in Brisbane.
It's a local favorite and lots came around 1+pm to grab the last minute specials (the market closes at 2pm)! We bought 5 large and delicious avocados for $3 at one stall! There are also ample space for picnic in the park besides the market.

A vibrant atmosphere, a gigantic food court housed in exotically coloured shipping containers featuring food choices from nearly every corner of the planet, a range of craft shops and live music on 4 or 5 different stages. This is a must visit location. Some people complained about the €3 entrance fee but I felt that we got a good return for our money. Free parking. Be prepared for large crowds at this must visit attraction.

It’s a much smaller scale then Eat Street but it’s a great start to what will be an amazing markets. Plenty of seating and food options to suit everyone’s needs. $3 entry is very reasonable and the venue is very clean. I like how it has jumping castles for the children for $10 unlimited jump time.
