Saltdean Lido

Saltdean Lido is the country's only Grade II* listed lido. The 1930's swimming pool has been refurbished and opens June 2017 for the summer season. The swimming pool offers heated water and there is a separate children's paddling pool and play area. There are changing room facilities, toilets and on-site there are food and beverage options.

We are very privileged to have one of the best outdoor pools in the UK right on our doorstep. Really decent size (40m) and the early morning and late evening lane swimming are the ideal times to go for the serious swimmer. Only wish it was open all year round (it is heated after-all). The Lido is still undergoing its full restoration and so the changing facilities are in a temporary set-up and so are pretty basic. Can't wait for the full restoration as it will be really special then.
