So we don't leave you alone to cope with babies or toddlers, or to try and teach your children . We help you every step of the way. We are very proud of our 20 years of doing baby footprints in Brighton and the fact that many of our customers return again and again. The Kayak Coach specialises in running kayaking and canoeing courses and experiences, from certificated courses to birthday, stag and hen celebrations. We also run guided river trips in Sussex, Surrey and Kent. From our base in Steyning we also rent kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for as little as 1 hour.

We are just a short walk from the train Station, in the North Laine area of Brighton. We love to help individuals or groups spend an hour or two in our fun creative environment. You can choose from 100s of ceramic items to paint or try your hand at throwing a pot. Everyone, no matter their age or ability, enjoys their experience and has something handmade and unique to show for it. If you are not local then we can post your items or you can use acrylic paints for decorative pieces and take away the same day. We also hold exhibitions from local makers and artists. We run classes in the art of shabby chic, painting furniture and finishing techniques. Our courses are all hands on and you will learning techniques covering paint effects, waxing, distressing, gilding, stenciling, glazing, wood graining, craquelure, crackle glaze, 3d stenciling, image transfer on furniture and fabrics, decoupage and more... We also do commissions and home make overs. We advise on colour choice and are a stockist of Autentico Chalk Paint with over 140 colours. We also sell furniture and craft accessories. A very warm welcome to Sussex Wine School - an independent wine education company. We run wine tastings and wine courses in Brighton for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. We aim to inspire you by introducing you to different wine styles from around the world and to cut through the clutter by showing you some of the best examples of these wines. We don't sell wine but we point you in the direction of good places to buy wine in Brighton and the UK. No previous wine tasting experience is necessary.

Axe & Paddle Bushcraft practice and teach traditional crafts and bushcraft skills through outdoor courses, and make and sell handmade crafts, carvings and jewellery. We've also just launched our Bushcraft Campsite, in Steyning. Courses include Paddle Carving, Spoon Carving, Fire Lighting, Shelter Building and more.....

We offer Thai cooking classes to individuals or private groups of all levels.We also provide catering service tailored to your request from dinners and garden parties to private functions.

MOSAIC WORKSHOPS I cater for complete beginners through to people who want help with their own ideas or projects. It is a practical hands-on day and you will complete a small mosaic, either a 6inch trivet for the table, a mirror or a house number or name plaque I will cover basic cutting and fixing techniques, and you will use mosaic tiles, and broken china cut or broken into various sizes and tiles of different cuts and sizes. It is concentrated but highly enjoyable work and does require a certain amount of manual dexterity as some of the pieces are1cm sq approx. We sit together around a large table and benefit from watching and learning from each other. Although the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly you will achieve a lot and I will aim for you to finish and grout the piece to take home. Tea / coffee / juice and biscuits / snacks are available throughout the day and a delicious organic soup with bread and salad for lunch is provided.

Our Hen parties are a sight to behold with happy hens up to their eyeballs in chocolate ganache and marshmallows. Our two Hour workshops will certainly satisfy most chocolate lovers and leave them with huge smiles on their faces.
