Take a stroll along beautiful Brighton Beach and enjoy the bright beach boxes and the breathtaking bay views. Lovely all year round. Tip: go early if you want to avoid the crowds !

While visiting Brighton for about a week we visited the cafe a number of times for breakfasts and lunches. The menu selection was what you would expect. The food and service was good. The location, especially on a sunny day was excellent. A good place to go for a meal on Brighton beach.

Landcox Park has been around for over 70 years plus. I use to play and catch yabbies when I was a little girl. It is well maintained, the pond has ducks the trees are very old, a small playground and walking tracks around the park. Peace and quiet in the middle of suburbia. Lots of history I am sure. Love this park.

I like these semi-hidden walking paths at Brighton, which is on many postcards due to its famous (and now expensive to buy) bathing boxes.
The flora and birds make it what it is, but I tend not to visit in January or February because of the heat and (on the beach) crowds.
Spring and autumn, when it's not too windy, are the best times: for my latest little visit, I picked a cloudless day with temperatures of around 18 degrees: not hot, but not too chilly.

For my extended family the historic graveyard of St Andrews Anglican Church at Brighton is special because it holds the graves of several of our 19th-century forebears and we have held a big family reunion in St Andrew's Parish Hall. St Andrew's was founded in 1842, and the earliest burial on the grounds was in 1844, so the graveyard is significant in the eyes of the social history and genealogy minded.
The large church building now on the grounds was opened in 1962. Of course there were previous structures, and the church's history includes the typical gamut of demolitions, fires and alterations.
The church's organ is noteworthy, and choirs are important in the church's tradition. If you like Renaissance and Baroque music, find out about the annual Resonance music program put on the Bayside City Council, the Early Arts Guild of Victoria and other organisations; St Andrew's is one of the performance venues.
St Andrew's is a popular wedding venue and the advice is to book a year or more in advance if you want a specific date.

This small, longer than is wide park is about 15 metres wide at its widest point but at times significantly narrower.
It has some attractive native trees including a lovely ghost gum.
The 626 bus route connects from McKinnon, North Brighton and Middle Brighton railway stations.

This is a lovely place to take the family. There is a bike track nearby, toilets and places for parking. Great place to take the kids and family.
