For a mere Parish Church towering is the word I would use. It stands at top a hill, proudly, and has a wonderful history which is explained on the boards and the leaflet they give you.

We came across this very imposing Monument on a walkabout in Bridgnorth, the Monument is in a lovely park and it looks out towards the famous `Severn Valley Railway` across the valley. We took many photographs of the Monument and also of the Railway from a great vista point just in front of the Monument.

A great place for a family outing where children of all ages enjoy the farm animals and pets.
What a lovely and magical day out with our 9 month old baby. We can't wait to bring her again as she's gets older. Can't believe there are negative reviews, people just love to moan I guess! The woodland walk is magical with so many quirky little features for children to explore, there's even den building and climbing ropes! There is a lovely variety of animals and it's such a great experience being able to freely explore the goat pen! Definitely our little girl's favourite part. We can't wait for her to play in the sand pit play area and other little play area when she's abit older, it's fab!!

I've been to a few national trust places around the Midlands but Dudmaston Hall is definitely one of my favourites. We went for a wonderful walk around the Big Pool there which is home to lots of different species of bird. The tea room is lovely too and there is a great picnic area. The hall itself is closed due to covid-19 at the moment but when I visited prior to the pandemic (late 2019) and was able to go inside I found the tour of the house interesting and memorable and the staff there are always welcoming and friendly. Lots of space for kids to play and areas for dog walking too if you're travelling with either or both. Worth mentioning that they are doing a great job of keeping everyone safe and ensuring social distancing is being maintained in these strange times too. Felt very safe and comfortable! Highly recommended.

Upton Cressett Hall is a privately owned Elizabethan House open to groups all year by appointment or individuals through 'Invitation to View' on selected open days. The holiday accommodation available all year round and can sleep up to 14. The historic Elizabethan Gatehouse and two cottages in the courtyard. The Hall has an extraordinary history with guests including the Prince in the Tower, Prince Rupert and Baroness Thatcher. A magical step back in time with delicious cakes and tea served in a medieval tea tent or the Great Hall dining room. Winner of Best Hidden Gem in the UK at 2011 Hudson's Heritage Awards.
We were fortunate enough to spend a glorious weekend at UC with the owners, William and Laura. The love and care put into restoring this Elizabethan Hall surpasses anything I have seen before. Every room is beautifully restored and decorated - the beds big and comfortable, spectacular painted ceilings and walls by the renowned artist Adam Dant, a superb gatehouse, a spiral staircase up the tower, freestanding baths, beautiful gardens and then there are the cottages to rent as well! The whole place is a dream - romantic, comfortable and the wonderful feeling of going back in time. And of course William and Laura have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to history and literature, not to mention millinery - Laura makes incredible hats and has her studio in the grounds. We can't wait to be invited to stay again or if lock down returns, move into one of the cottages for a month or 2!
