We visit here every week for a quick drink after a trip into Bridgnorth. It’s a fantastic pub, with great beers and cider. The staff are super friendly and very efficient. They have been following covid restrictions and I felt very safe!

The Black Boy Inn

Traditional pub, serving real ale, proper cider, fine wine and local food. With open fires, beer garden and cracking locals.

Travelling with a couple of friends, to celebrate a belated 50th birthday, this was our first port of call after taking the steam train from Kidderminster. What a fantastic start to the day. We marched up the incline and made a bee line for the bar. Some great ales, and a really nice and unusual offering was a wooden platter of three 1/3 pints of your choice, as a sampler. Every pub should do this! The Scotch Eggs were unbelievable and not to be missed. I wish they were available on mail order! Lovely beer garden, and good fortune was upon us as the sun shone down, while we indulged in the pleasures afforded by this great establishment. Full marks 10/10

We visited the Ship on a family break as 3 families. Lovely pub nestled on the River Severn. I had a carvery and it was delicious. Plenty of meat carved by the very friendly chef. £9 on a Sunday was very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Gorgeous weather made it a memorable day out.
