Travertine Hot Spring

Easy to find, the dirt road is well maintained, but probably not good for low clearance vehicles. Beware! Several little natural pools tucked away under the limestone with the water temp very pleasant. Don't spoil it by bringing a large or loud group! This is the kind of place that authorities could close down in a heartbeat!

This was one of highlights of our trip to Bridgeport. The views from hot springs on top were amazing but the best part is down below by the springs, just be prepared with proper shoes, the hike up is challenging with flip flops on (we had never been here before).

Bridgeport Reservoir

We spent a day here fishing over July, 2020. Great fishing location, beautiful scenery, and time with family. The brown trout here are large - we could see a school making the rounds by the shoreline where we were fishing. In other words, we got skunked but we had a great time! A quick note - see pictures - there are a lot of turn outs to use to fish from the shoreline. The one we used put us just south of a small "inlet" (bay?). Getting down wasn't a problem but the dirt turn out is steep and getting out proved difficult. Just a heads up if you decide to use this one.
