Went on a group tour with three other adults and six teenage boys (two groups of five). This is a very cool experience. A couple bouncy sky bridges, a few rappels and nine ziplines made this activity one of the best I have done recently. I asked the boys for their ratings after the tour, and I got 8.5 to 9.5 out of 10. Zipping over the forest floor provides extreme views at several of the zips. Just don't forget to look around! The booking was easy and the personnel were great when we got there. There are two guides that go with you and hook you up and unhook you, giving you advice and instructions, and ours were great. At the end, you get a complimentary ride on the lift back to the top if you want to eat in the restaurant, and a complimentary ride on the racing zip. Although we got a group discount, this is kind of expensive without the discount at a single person price of $110.00. I would definitely do this again even with the cost.

Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel is the premier dog sled touring operator in New England. We offer year round dog sledding adventures that range from 2 - 50 miles (including overnights). All of our dog sledding experiences are designed to be hands on to the comfort level of the guests. Participants ages 2 and up are given the opportunity to meet and greet our rescue and second chance sled dogs, help harness and hitch their team and even help drive the sled (at musher discretion for guests and dog safety of course)! As always, the proceeds generated from our kennel based tours go directly to covering the expenses involved in taking in these incredible canine athletes and providing them with a home and job for life.
We got back from New Hampshire this past weekend and Muddy Paws was certainly the highlight of our trip! Due to time constraints, we could only do the one hour kennel tour but it was absolutely worth it. Despite the sub zero temperatures, the three staff we met were all in high spirits and INCREBILY nice. We got stories about each dog and were free to roam and pet whoever we pleased (serious heaven for any dog lover). There was a family from Texas that was awaiting their tour inside the heated area trying to keep warm while we were outside with the dogs. Much to my boyfriend's surprise, we were asked to help hitch the team for their tour (put on harnesses and clip into the line) which just about made his entire day, as well as mine. I have experience with dog sledding and sled dogs in general, as my family lives in Alaska and sponsors one of the greatest Iditarod mushers of all time. I can assure you these dogs were happy, healthy and LOVE what they do. Many are rescues and last chance dogs which I find absolutely wonderful. To make it all even better, when the sled dogs are retired, they are adopted out. We compiled our own list of who's ready for a home because we would love one (or three)!!
Overall, this place is absolutely wonderful and they certainly deserve your business. Dog sledding is such a fun and thrilling experience and I can assure that your kids/family will remember it for a long time.

A beautiful spot, but an earlier comment said an easy walk. I disagree, there is a stone path and a railing but it is quite a few stairs down and even tougher climb back up. For those with bad legs, knees it is a tough hike- we did it but it was a slow hike!!

The drive up and down in good weather isn't as daunting as you would think. I'm not sure I would like it in bad weather though. Amazing how windy on top it was compared to lower down. We had good views which apparently only happens on the top on 65 days of the year.

Climb to the top of Mount Washington on the world's first mountain-climbing Cog Railway trains!
We were lucky to be able to arrive and get tickets on a whim! We were in town for a weekend of hiking and had just finished our morning hike. The whole experience is well organized and the train escorts are very knowledgeable and tell stories about the history of The Cog. It takes about an hour to chug slowly uphill ... it’s amazing at the summit! They give you an hour at the summit to take photos and enjoy the scenery. There is a cafeteria style food area and gift shop. We had a warm and clear day so we’re very lucky to have this all work out so well.
It’s a great trip for the entire family!

This private, non-profit science and educational center is a working observatory designed to measure the unique and often extreme weather conditions on Mount Washington. Through guided tours and exhibits, visitors learn more about the science of meteorology.
Took a ride up on the Cogway. The views from the top are spectacular even though the cold was finger numbing. The hot soup was a life saver. A must do if you are in the state.

Bretton Woods is the home of New Hampshire's largest ski area, plus the Bretton Woods Canopy Tour, Bretton Woods Nordic Center, the Adventure Center, The Spa, the Golf Club (27 holes), The Lodge, The Townhomes and numerous food and beverage outlets.
Trails are wonderful; frequently groomed and many wide enough for both snowshoers who want packed snow AND skiers. Center has good range of basic supplies for all levels. The only down side: customer service was oddly surly at times, and trail hours can be more restricted than spring skiers might expect.

It's just amazing.. Of course you have to be prepared! Good shoes, water and healthy!
But the views you'll see are simply wonderful..
And you'll be so proud when you'll reach the summit! For a non trained guy (like me), be ready to walk 8h minimum to go to the summit and back to the beginning
