Everything was a s described. We had an enjoyable time. My only suggestion for the operators is that for this price you could include at least a couple of drinks and a snack on the beach.

Anderson really made this trip memorable. Thank you Anderson. The statue is dramatic. Must take a camera. The Pao de Acucar has newly been updated for tourism. This venue is worth seeing with Rio Carioca Tour LTD. Ask for Anderson for your guide. He is informative and thoughtful of the guests especially the older ones. Thank you so much.

Visiting Rio, we wanted to experience the more authentic nightlife around town, but were concerned about our safety, so when this came up, it sounded like the answer, wasn’t expensive and we gave it a try. We met at a hostel and the organisers were very welcoming and sorted us a beer. We then met the rest of the group as they arrived and learned how to make Caipirinhas before getting into groups and competing to make the best ones. Naturally we were drinking them! We then walked to the station and took the tube to Lapa. Bottles of shots were brought with us, but not wanting to be completely trolleyed before we even got there, my only gripe is we’d have preferred beers for the journey as there’s a fair bit of walking/stopping for photos and we were getting parched. We managed to get two bottles from a street cart as we walked in the end. From there we got to drink, see bars, see and feel the vibe of Lapa, get some great pics on the famous steps, dance in a samba club to a live band, go to a dance club, meet some great people we’ve stayed in touch with and have some real fun. Our guides looked after us, kept an eye out to ensure we were, and felt, safe, and made sure no one got left behind, whilst giving us the space to be tourists! Great night! I’d do it again! Though next time I’d bring a beer for the train????????
