I’ve been to this Cathedral a few times and each time I’m reminded of its beauty! It reminds me of St Peter’s in Vatican City... a very small part of St Peter’s... it’s a must see!

We walked the King and Queen Rock Trail and just past the Balancing Rock on that trail. I'm in my 50s and quite heavy but had no trouble on the trails. There are some rock steps to maneuver and areas that would require more climbing than I wanted...but the trails themselves weren't that bad. I was glad that it hadn't rained, though, as that could possibly cause some surfaces to be slippery. I think this would be a great place for a canoe or kayak. Camping here might be fun also. I saw a cardinal pair but they were in a very shady spot so the picture didn't turn out too well. There was a lot of flowers but I'm sure later this month there will be many more.

Grand Falls Casino Resort

We enjoyed our overnight at Grand Falls Casino Resort. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms—whether suite or standard—are well-appointed and comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating, as was every staff member we encountered over the course of our visit. The massage therapists at the spa were amazing, but the spa itself disappointed a bit this time. Just a bit. The jacuzzi worked well, but neither the steam room nor the sauna seemed to be in working order. Beyond that, the water in the shower took about five minutes to get warm. In some ways, those are minor concerns. We had a really good time and enjoyed the hotel.

Attended a WOO event, our first visit under new ownership. Many improvements. Improved restrooms, more pavement and concrete, and new seating and safer walkways and stairways. My only concern would be if Sioux Falls fans can digest the steeper pricing. New owner has made a huge investment, it appears.

Falls Park

Park with waterfalls where the river flows over many tiers of Sioux quartzite.

This is a beautiful park. Parents must exersize some common sense. Do not let young kids run, or play on the rocks. We always keep our kids within reach and teach them about recognizing danger, like the wet slippery rocks. Everytime we go I'm shocked at how many examples of bad parenting there are but we have visted falls park many times and my kids never even got close to falling in. I don't think a fence is the answer. Parents need to keep their kids safe. Raging river down the falls is beautiful and a must see.

Old Courthouse Museum

Beautifully restored 1800s quartzite building has three floors of regional history exhibits.

Reviewed By MrsPickle - Huntington Beach, California

The building itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, through the years renovations were made but when a new courthouse was built this building was restored. The court gallery has been restored with its original seats but not the courtroom itself. Some of the original furniture is current being used in the new courthouse or the staff in this building. The surfaces have been restored and currently some of the murals are being worked on. It's definitely worth a visit.
