HÚSAFELL IS A HIKER’S DREAM. Fascinating walking routes are everywhere, with something new at every turn. Dense woods, lava formations, crystal-clear mountain springs, magnificent ravines, glaciers, rushing glacial rivers and an extraordinary animal and bird life. Remarkable ancient relics and other signs of human habitation serve to illustrate the past and the relationship between man and nature.

A Family owned and operated tour company offering tours into Iceland's largest lava cave, Víðgelmir. An amazing underworld full of color awaits those who visit Viðgelmir lava cave. The Cave is 1585 meters long and is claimed to hold no rival in Iceland. With an all new walkway and permanent lighting system the first 700 meter can now be enjoyed with ease. This provides a cave that is family friendly. A tour to the caves end is for those who desire more adventure.

The fairways of the golf course lie beside the banks of the rivers Kaldá and Stuttá. There the golfer has to be meticulous because the water is close to the fairways and in many places the forest is also close by. The first tee is below a swimming pool. Golf course fees are paid in the house where the swimming pool is entered.

We've been livestock farming and hosting Retreats, clinics and longer trail rides on horses for over 30 years. Partly a High nature value farming within 300 ha of wildlife and wetland. A small family run unit. Our focus is on sustainable farming methods as well as horse friendly training methods and animal husbandry.
