The Koh Samui Meditation Center is a must visit place. Their evening guided meditation sessions are absolutely amazing. There is enough information to understand and be comfortable for a beginner and for someone who has been actively practicing mediation for a while. Before visiting the center, I meditated only for 10 - 15 minutes a day and always felt an urge to finish my practice. However, after my 50 minute meditation @Koh Samui Center, I could not believe that the time flew by so quickly. I feel that the techniques that I have learned there will help me to improve my ability to focus and extend the practice time even more.

Wat Plai Laem

We visited the nearby Big Buddha and it was ruined with masses and masses of tourists and heavy traffic. We didn't enjoy that place so we came here instead and what a complete different experience. It was chilled out, relaxing and nice to visit the temple, feeding the huge Catfish and Carp in the water and enjoyed a cold drink relaxing in the shade. Worth the visit, parking is free and cold drinks as cheap as anywhere else. We could have spent 3 or 4 hours here if it wasn't for us having plans for the afternoon.

Chaweng Boxing Stadium

Reviewed By Sam_cat_danglish - Copenhagen, Denmark

We booked from row seats and witnessed an spectacular show from close proximity. It was great to see the ritual dance of the Thai boxers who seem to be in a trance as they box to the beat. Some of the flights were full throttle with thai's betting big on each fighter. There were knock outs and big blows. On the undercard were young fighters (12 years v 16 years old). These fights were harder to watch but this sport is part of there culture and Thai boxers start young!
