This is a great place to catch the sunset. Just remember that parking is limited so you may want to get there a bit early. There is a beach bar right there, probably good pizza or burger but we got the fish which was just ok. Still, there is a nice picnic area with grills and tables and the beach is very clean. Love going there for the day or sunset.

What could be better than an off-leash dog park with ocean access for pups to cool off! My family was visiting the area and homesick for our pooch so we headed to the dog park to get our canine hit. Great fun! Be sure to time your visit for low tide. A short walk from the parking lot to the beach.

This beach is gorgeous, Please note that this isnt your typical public beach. It is surrounded by many private beach clubs, which helps to make it very quiet, however hard to access. Once you can get a parking at one of the public parking areas, you will be happy you visited. Be sure to bring your own chairs, and coolers. There are no public places to buy anything. The bathrooms at the public access areas are so clean, and offer showers post beach visit. I loved this so much!!

I live near this place. I'm so happy that our tradition of buying pumpkins and screaming through a corn maze will continue in spite of covid. The haunted corn maze is awesome, and gets better and scarier every year. Over the last few years, this place has become really popular, so expect a bit of a line before you can enter the corn maze. If that bothers you, pay extra for the fast pass. Either way, the corn maze and the actors are great! They also have nice family friendly times and areas for younger children. I grew up in Maryland, and to me, there are not many places like this in Florida for kids to see a farm and pick flowers or fruit or vegetables. There are not many corn mazes either. The prices on the corn maze have gone up over time but so has the quality. I think it is very reasonable. When you go, remember that this is a working (non-animal) farm, so wear appropriate shoes. There are plenty of portable bathrooms set up, so expect similar facilities as if you were at an outdoor festival or parade. There are bathrooms during restaurant/store hours but late at night and out towards the corn maze, you have the porta-potties. You will park in a field, and you may want to bring a flashlight or at least have your cell phone powered up, if you are coming or going after dark. The Halloween corn maze is is a well run event. You will have a great time any time of year! At the corn maze, vendors have food and drinks, but I always bring a few bottles of water for myself and the kids. In Florida it can get rather hot some nights even in late October. We enjoy coming here to get fresh fruit and vegetables, whether we picked them or bought them at their own store. They also allow local schools to do field trips. A great group of people!

If you are a pet lover, you MUST visit dog beach at low tide. I work at a dog daycare and see dogs playing all week but this, this was different! Hundreds of dogs running around with the zoomies, chasing ball in the ocean, jumping in and out of boats and kayaks, just living their absolute best life! I met the sweetest dog owners and pups possible! Don’t miss out on seeing this in person!!

Flamingo Island Flea Market has been a locals favorite for over 20 years. Our vendors have such unique and eclectic items for sale. You can shop, eat, be entertained and drink all in one place! We are always adding new vendors and fun things to do. Come visit us at Flamingo Island, where there is always something going on.
The main reason I come back to the flamingo flea market is a stand called tranquil paradise. It’s pretty far in the back but totally worth the walk! The man that runs the booth makes everything by hand and is very passionate about what he does. Though he sells hand creams, oils, and bath bombs as well, my favorites are the soaps! There’s a huge variety and they are really good for your skin. Not to mention they smell amazing! Honestly some of the best soaps I have ever bought. This time around I bought 10 bars because I don’t live here so I stock up until my next visit! Highly recommend!

There is a new building on the property of the old dog track that just opened and it serves as a poker room and horse/dog race simulcast betting outlet, and there is a sports bar in the building as well. The building is nice and comfortable, much more so that the old dog track.

We visited the Wonder Gardens in May of 2019 and had 2 seniors 3 Adults and 1 toddler in our group. I cannot say enough good things about this place!! It simply is Wonderful. From the staff, and the affordability of admission and food for the animals , to the cleanliness of the grounds and the nice conditions of the animals. We truly had a great time!! Some highlights were feeding the alligators, and flamingos!!! Who knew flamingos were so large!!! Highly recommend especially if you have small children. It’s just the right size And there is plenty of shaded areas. Highly recommend!!!
