Izvir Bistrice

The Bistrica river with its source Pod Luknjo is the strongest affluent of the Sava Bohinjka river. The stream flowing through the Bohinjska Bistrica river gets its water from the lower Bohinj mountains. The Bistrica stream has a picturesque impassable gorge which has not yet been arranged for tourist visits. You can, however, visit its impressive source with the waterfalls.

Slap Grmecica

The waterfall has altogether height of 19 meters because the stages are so close one to another that we can say there is one multiple stage waterfall. You can start your walk from Nomenj village and in about 20 min you will reach the sight of Grmečica waterfall. There is no official parking places at starting point, so we recommend to take a bus from Bohinjska Bistrica to Nomenj, where you can find free parking places.
