We visited this park at least once a week during our month long visit to Colombia. It was a great place to people watch and the playground kept our four kids entertained. The atmosphere was fun with families and pets all around. Bands were setup on Saturdays for musical pleasure.

Guadalupe Hill

Just went to see the statue. First of all - it is very safe.. A lot of police and military personal on the way and on the top. 20 mins driving from Bogota. The road is montanious and curvy. We took yellow cab from funicular station in the base of Monseratt. The driver waited for us(around 40mins) at the little parking lot at the base of the statue. From the parking lot to the actual statue is 15 mins. walk up the hill. It costs us 120 000COP(~USD40) for the entire trip(including going back to the airport). The were no signs of danger, there were a lot of people cicling and jogging up and down the road. Definitely must see.
