Following the loss of our dog yesterday, we decided (my partner & I) to keep busy. We wanted to stay local and this military Museum was on the to do list. The museum is dog friendly including all the internal rooms which i found welcoming. The museum itself is set across two floors and has a wonderful military war timeline the exhibitions and items on display were of great quality and such a vast array of memorabilia. There is an entire floor of historical military weapons and of medals Including the Victoria Cross of which all the present and on display. I was surprised to find for half term (I have no children so I was not aware!) That the museum was free of charge for entry!! I was a little disappointed at this especially as £6 per person (adult) was such a minimum entrance fee for such a fascinating and beautiful collection in a real Army Barracks. However we did make some donations and purchased a couple of items out of the shop. (However even if the museum only charged £1 per person as a promotion- it was incredibly busy yesterday and they could’ve made little bit of money, anyway I’m not the CEO or business manager!!) I must add, the lady who was working on the entrance/shop was incredibly friendly, heartwarming, informative and very helpful. Randomly, on leaving the museum my dog needed the toilet! I had her deposit in a little bag. I did search the entire external grounds for a bin and couldn’t find one. However on stopping a member of staff they didn’t hesitate to take this bag of doggy deposit from me to dispose of it on my behalf. I found the very grateful and such a nice gesture. They also have an antique shop of books which sells simple refreshments on a honesty box service, I really liked the fact that wonderful drinks and flavours were on offer and not just Pepsi et cetera. We spent several hours throughout the museum however my only tiny tiny criticism would be, ensure there is a notice/sign saying this way to 2nd floor as we completely missed this entrance/staircase and only on returning to the lovely lady she commented on both floors and we realised we had still another floor to visit! Overall, I will absolutely be visiting this museum again. We were due to also visit the town Museum yesterday however spent the entire day simply enjoying, learning and invoking memories of my service time within this museum. It’s a must visit place!!! 10/10.

Proper Cornish still cider made the tradtional way by Tom Bray at Haywood Farm St Mabyn
We arrived just after opening on 17/6/19 to a very unorganized yard which was unusual. We visit these premises each time we come to Cornwall possible more than once as hubby really likes their dry cider and I their apple juice. Tom was explaining the chaos as they had had a go-karting festival day before with 400 people looked a d sounded as though a great time had been had by all. Well done Haywood's.

We offer a friendly, personal service and will take time to fit you with the right bikes and information for a great day out on the trail. From us you can cycle straight to the Camel Trail - one of the most scenic off road cycle routes in the UK. We are based at the quiet end of the trail away from the crowds where you can enjoy the Cornish countryside in peace. If you want a full day out and don't mind a little busyness then we are the perfect distance away from Padstow to make a full day of it. Alternatively head on the rarely travelled section towards the lovely Snails Pace Cafe at Wenfordbridge for a home made treat before returning to historic Bodmin.
We had a brilliant day and Explore were an excellent company to use. if you want a bit further of an adventure start the camel trail at Bodmin rather than Wadebridge which gives you a 25 mile round trip. Apart from navigating a few roads in Bodmin and Wadebridge it is mainly the relatively flat and stunning camel trail. Great coffee hut just past Wadebridge and then the beautiful Padstow where it is very esay to lock your bikes up and walk into. We had a really great day. There is a bit of a hill at the end of the trail on the way back so the promise of an ice cream may be in order for littler riders!

This wild and craggy moor offers many historic attractions including prehistoric granite "sculptures" and the supposed final resting place for King Arthurs legendary sword Excalibur.
Parked up near Minions and walked across the moor to the Hurlers Stone Circles. Fabulous views for miles around. There are 3 stone circles 2 of which have been re furbished and once again left you wondering what use our ancestors put them to.

My husband and I visited Camel Valley vineyard during our week long tour around Cornwall. The trip was planned around a visit to the vineyard after seeing it reviewed on a TV programme last year, when 5 Celebrities went caravanning. This spurred me into buying a bottle of Camel Valley Rose sparking wine. Well I don't need much encouragement, and certainly wasn't disappointed. This amazing vineyard produces the most amazing English wines, and most certainly rivals any of the best Champagne from France. I'm now converted and will only purchase from Camel Valley. The tour around the winery was very informative and opened our eyes to the work that goes into producing the wines. I've always loved Champagne, however the Camel Valley sparking wine certainly deserves all the awards it has gained and in my view is better than Ruinart champagne. Let's fly the flag for English wine!

Pencarrow is a beautiful house and well worth visiting. It's still a family home and it has a quirky and personal feel which sets it apart from other country houses. Lady Molesworth St Aubyn and her late husband took it on in the 1970s after it had not been lived in for some time and they have done a fantastic job. We enjoyed the new bookshop and a light lunch which was tasty and well presented, followed by a tour of the house. Our guide Karen was good-humoured and very knowledgeable making the tour most enjoyable. A walk around the gardens then followed with plenty to see. Our visit was made extra special by a delightful and informal chat with Lady M. herself and it was no surprise to find that she was every bit as friendly and welcoming as her lovely house. She deserves your support in continuing to look after this special place for us all to enjoy.
