Simply the best. This beach never disappoints us. We usually bring a picnic lunch and our bikes, and spend the day. It is always a peaceful time because there are so many access points to the beach, that overcrowding does not occur.

Beach is very clean. Great place to walk, collect shells and people watch. Fun to watch the fisherman on the beach. We brought our lunch, beach chairs and sunscreen and had a perfect day. Parking is $3.00 on the honor system.

Located just off Cape Coral, a ferry will take you to this island nature reserve known for its beautiful beaches and great collection of shells.
Really clean beach. Not real crowded. Lots of sea shells. Water seems deeper than most gulf coast beaches.

Long enough to turn into a half day adventure. Or if you choose to move faster not. Lots of things to see. It's best for folks looking to casually bike around and see where it takes them, as opposed to approaching it as a planned workout.

The Boca Grande Historical Society is hidden behind Boca Bargains. It tells the history of the island beyond the winter resort it is now. There are pictures and interesting narratives. Also the director is knowledgeable and loves to share information about the history of this wonderful island. They also have History Bytes in February and early March in the garden of the library that are always fun and interesting.

With generous support, the Barrier Island Parks Society has restored the Gasparilla Island Lighthouse to its 1927 splendor and will preserve this legacy for future generations! The lighthouse is now open for tours! Dates and fees vary and require RSVP. All proceeds support the continued preservation of this community treasure and cherished icon of U.S. history.
Gasparilla Island’s jewel! The lighthouse sits right at a beautiful beach state park with a picnic area and parking. It’s an excellent place to bring the whole family. There are outside stairs you must climb to enter the lighthouse and view the worthwhile historic level displays and the gift shop. Not a junky shop. The views are beautiful and sunsets spectacular - a place to not miss!
