I am a high handicapper (31) and recently played the May River Course with a caddie, Billy. I had such a great time. Billy was fantastic and knew more about my game than I did. I learned enough about my game from him to shave off a couple strokes since then. He was patient, informative, and made me feel totally comfortable. The course itself is beautiful, perfect for people like me who enjoy walking. As a woman and a high handicapper, I don't always feel completely at ease on an away course, but Billy and the rest of the staff (pro shop, bar outside) made me feel right at home. With every penny. Great day of golf and I can't wait to go back!

This was my first time playing Hilton Head National and I already look forward to the next time. Beautiful course, excellent condition, fairways as smooth as some other course’s greens. Being a high handicapper and infrequent golfer, I was looking for a course that was not crowded with condos and houses so this course was just perfect for me. Pace was good, staff was very friendly and everyone I spoke with had high praise for the condition and beauty of the course. I plan to return next year for family vacation and this will be on our list of places to play. Thanks to all who keep this one of the top places to play in the Hilton Head area.

Old South Golf Links

Excellent golf course that rolls from an open pasture to dense forests, to marsh, wetlands and spectacular views of the intra-coastal waterway.

I played July 18,2020. First off the staff is very good with social distancing and mask usage. I was a single and the starter got me off early (8:12) with three great guys from Pittsburgh. The course was in excellent condition for a very hot July. Greens ran true. Old South has great views and takes advantage of breeze off the coast. Very fair and beautiful. It was a great experience. Everyone from the cart staff, pro shop, cart girl and the guy selling hit the green chances were fabulous. One of best values of the low country. I will be back. Thanks

Didn't have a great round (my fault) but loved the course. Course is challenging for the average golfer. Pro shop nicely stocked and the gentleman behind the cash register was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Only thing you could say other than my play that I wasn't crazy about is the cart girl. Couldn't stop her. Think she was being paid by how many laps she made. lol Saw her twice, but she wasn't stopping.

Very nice golf course without Hilton Head prices. An easy, short drive from Hilton Head Island, Eagle Pointe Golf Course provides plenty of challange, in a very pleasent setting for all levels of golfers. A Davis Love III course is tough but fare with very well maintained fairways and greens. Simply a beautiful course.

We booked this course online and teamed up with two other guys grom Canada. We were visiting from UK. A very picturesque course and in good condition. Greens a bit tricky. Im off 25 and found it maneageable and played to my handicap. Some water holes but ladies tees were at the side whereas my partner and the other guys lost a few balls. We had some great food afterwards and I would certainly recommend this course. A good find
