If you position yourself just right you can capture both the arch and the Chinese skyline in one picture. The arch is not a war triumph monument, rather it celebrates the close connection between the two countries

This is in a really lovely building. It starts down stairs with Stone Age and Iron Age relics, then works through the ages. I just wish that some of the labels were in English. There are a lot of very interesting articles, well presented and laid out, I would have enjoyed knowing more. That said, I would be happy to return and wander around. Worth a visit.

This a lovely orthodox church where very often the popes organize religious events with all the monks participating. The mass services are very intimate and you feel spirituality.

Throughout Russia you will find a wide variety of military monuments. Tanks are the most common and I guess you could put steam locomotives in this class as well. But this boat is placed on a pedestal in such a way that the viewer can easily imagine it racing across the river, flying into the air as it hits waves. Cool!

I have to admit that this was my first time going to Russian Theatre. We watched one of the pre-Christmas stories and it was definitely one of the best experiences of going to the theater ever. You can literally experience everything that you expect from a Russian theater, including the red velvet curtains, several levels of seats, very comfortable seats, and a great acting on the stage. If you have a chance to go and visit this theater, definitely go and give it a nice try. This is definitely a recommendation.
