Sassafras on Sutton is a bookstore, gift shop, toy store and coffee bar located in historic downtown Black Mountain, North Carolina. Lots of cozy seating, locally-brewed coffee, tons of fun gifts & toys and new books in stock. Open 7 days a week.
My wife and I visited Black Mountain for a morning stroll to various stores. All are very unique in their own way. Sassafras was located by the Railroad Station and is a Book Store / Coffee Shop full of local gifts. A must visit when shopping in Black Mountain.

We enjoyed the last nights of the outdoor firepits before they were packed up for the season. The outdoor area has plenty of tables so that you can distance from each other. We didn't get a good idea of the Lookout craft brews due to the line being shut down for a changeover to an upgraded brewing system going in. We knew this because the bartenders and regulars apologized to us for the limited selection. The locals were very friendly and welcoming.
