Climbing Park
This is a cool thing to do with your friends or children. You can spend a good amount of time over here if you're into this kind of things.
The personnel is sympathetic and professional, and you are given appropriate equipment and a security briefing - I believe that they do it as well in English if you ask for it.
You have several paths according to the difficult you want to test. I did them all and it was a good amount of fun. Make sure to put enough food on your stomach before coming - you'll need a lot of energy!

The Steinhausen Church is a baroque style monument. Paintings, statues and artefacts are in so perfect condition that they look like they were recently done. The painted roof is incredible. The organ is magnificent. The statues are incredible. Worth a visit.

The Federsee is part swamp, part lake, with very many birds and fish. A three-km. long wooden raised footpath takes from from the shore, through the swamp to the lake, where you can rent a boat and/or climb up an observation tower. Nice walk for the whole family. Not far away there's a museum with Bronze-Age artifacts, including a boat made from a hollowed-out tree-trunk.

You cannot miss the statue of a big grey donkey proudly hovering over the Market Place in Biberach (Riss). It depicts the senseless attitude of human beings when it comes to right and wrong. In the ancient world a man hired a donkey. It was very hot, so he sat in the little bit of shade the donkey gave. The owner got upset because he only hired out the donkey, and not its shade. An argument ensued as to who owns the shade...So, please look VERY CLOSE at the donkey. You will be surprised at what all you can see!

Near Federsee and the Federseemuseum is the “Wackelwald”. The name is German, meaning “Shaking Forest”. It is growing on swampland that gives it a very soft ground. The intertwined roots make it stable enough for people to walk on. It is totally safe.
But here comes the fun part: At some spots on the trail the ground is so soft that the surrounding trees start shaking when you jump or stomp your foot. On other spots along the way the ground is bouncing up and down just from stepping on it.
I was there during autumn. It was possible to shake leaves from some trees that were growing next to the foot path, by simply jumping on the spot. Taking a video was too difficult for I was alone. If you come in a group, don’t forget to take a video to show your friends at home.
I am not quite sure if it works in winter. In this region the temperatures can drop to sub-zero and stay that cold for weeks. During other seasons some spots are very muddy after rainfall, so don’t wear your best shoes.
After parking your car in front of the museum, it is just a few hundred meters walk to reach the forest. Unfortunately the information boards are in German only. There are some view points on a map, but you will find them easily, because the “Wackelwald” is pretty small and the path is actually a circular route.
It is not a big thing, but a beautiful pass time for kids. It that can be easily combined with a visit to the museum and the lake.
Entrance to the “Wackelwald” is free. Parking is not for free, but reasonably priced.

During winter season, the view is very beautiful. The identically shaped rooftops covered with snow make you think of a town from a fairy tale.
