Monday 4th March, back again, taking a stroll along this almost deserted stretch beach which nestled in between Gonsua and Betalbatim Beaches along the South Goan coastline There is only one beach shack, Amri's Sunset Beach Shack, when walking by there were no sunbeds or umbrellas on the beach which added to the sense of being alone, no one else around, blissful. In fact all we encountered along the way was the lifeguard on duty, a few small wading birds by the sea and fishing boats laden with nets sitting on the sand. There was a bit of a breeze and the sea was a little bit rough with waves crashing to the shore of golden/white sand. Also the sky was blue, the beach was clean, which ensured a most enjoyable walk.

I went to the 11;00 Sunday service as it was in English. The church was packed. The local people dress up for Mass. No shorts or T.shirts but a nice dress and definitely shoulders covered. A lovely experience and everyone was so welcoming.

This place is a hidden gem- perhaps one of the few natural beaches in Goa. The is only one shack which has been there for years. Lots of beautiful Casurina trees to hide amongst for the lovers (I wish they would take their plastics with them). Can be busy on Sundays & holidays. Sometimes you can see wild peacocks in the fields behind, especially at sunset

Walnut wood carving at it's best, hand carved furniture and souvenirs,we also provide a home delivery around the globe, and most importantly it's all comes with a life time grantee,so come and see this art of carving....
I loved the Kashmir Wood craft work this emporium offers. From a couple of hundred Indian Rupees to a couple of hundred thousand Rupees, everything is available. Such beautiful handicraft chairs, Tea tables, dining tables and side tables. I bought 6 dining chairs, 2 rest chairs, 2 tea tables, and also ordered dining tables, side table and the GRAND king size Bed from Amin, one of the owners. Everything is made of Walnut Wood, which is tougher than teak, lighter and more flexible for carving, and is durable to pass it on to multiple generations.

Mandi meaning ‘market place’ in hindi, taps the export markets and potential of Indian handicrafts, by making the crafted product export worthy, sourced from across India, whilst focusing on the handicraft quality and design, vis a vis subtle preferences unique to individual global market spaces. We retail apparels, accessories, art, furnishings, fabrics and other lifestyle products that are handcrafted and unique. Mandi especially focuses on the handicraft quality and design, with the help of our design intervention team and quality audits, while sourcing a majority of its products under common categories, from little known crafts in India. Rural artisan empowerment is what we ultimately strive for - where the artisan gains an understanding of the global marketplace, and retails independently, at par with the global craft community.
