Don’t be fooled by Bermuda’s small size; this 21-square-mile Atlantic island is big on history, personality and charm, from pink-sand beaches to historic forts. It’s known for aquatic adventures like shipwreck scuba diving, cliff jumping and deep-sea fishing. On land you’ll find an eclectic island culture of vibrant neighborhoods, brightly colored shorts and delicious fish chowder.

Upscale shopping district, lined with posh department stores such as Triminghams.
Quaint main street with beautiful views of the harbor. Shops, restaurants, people watching, and stunning island views! Very clean, and enjoyable.

Built in the early 1800s, this dockyard is now the largest museum in Bermuda and features exhibits on the island's maritime history.
Favorite port hands down. This place has it all right outside your ship. Shopping, food and drink, pharmacy, mini golf, beach, historical treasures, beach and transportation rentals, excursions, ferry service. I feel safe walking around here by myself which is rare at most ports. Since you are docked at Bermuda for two and a half days, it is so handy to just walk on and off the ship.

Poor planning, insufficient funds and natural disasters prevented the completion of this church, thus called the Unfinished Cathedral.
Situated within walking distance of the town square, this "unfinished church" has a special history as written in the following photos. Once there follow the signs to "the Beach" surprise awaits you.

Located in the center of St. George parish, this square contains stocks, a pillory and a whipping post, replicas of those used to punish criminals over 400 years ago.
we visited saint George from our cruise ship it was a nice ferry ride, the town is steeped in history and the people are so friendly I loved the buildings they were so colorful. we missed the dunking of the nagging wife but got to talk to the town crier which was fun. We stopped for lunch at the Whitehorse inn and it was so good the barman was a wealth of information after lunch we visited the town hall and we bumped into the ex Mayer who gave us a tour of the building. After all this we visited some of the local shops and the post office where the lady that served us could not have more helpful. would I go again? YES thank you all in saint George for welcoming us to your parish

Bermuda's oldest and most famous pub.
Went to Swizzle a few times for dinner when on a recent trip to Bermuda, my favorite the Onion Rings they were delicious, light and tasty over Bermuda Onions. Great place to sit back and relax you can eat either inside or out. They have Music on Friday Nights, and other fun events going on during the week, you get a chance stop by and say Hello to Jay the President a friendly Chap!

Romantic lookout point with panoramic views of the coast.
Although a bit hard to find (a motorbike shop marks the crossing), it's quite a "remote"spot near Hamilton where you can enjoy nature. Within view of the corner shops is an Audubon Center that has good signs, a boardwalk, birds, benches, and plants.

Gosling's Rum tasting was an amazing experience. Andrew from Gosling's greeted us at the Bird Cage with a table lined up with 5 Gosling's rums (Black Seal, Gold Seal, Amber, Silver and Old Rum) We were given a history of the Gosling's company and how the rums were developed. His knowledge was excellent and he gave us tasting tips to try for each rum. I would highly recommend taking part in the rum tasting sessions. We then stayed for a cocktail which was made by a professional mixologists nit just someone following a recipe.
