State park that is managed by Maryland's Department of Natural Resources.
Especially off-season, when there are fewer people and mosquitos. Bring your patience and your camera. The rare Sika deer roam as do the wild horses. Great feeling to see them. Take a walk on the nature boardwalks and if you go in the summer, take out a canoe or go clamming in the bay. Bring water shoes as the bottom can get sharp.

We visited the actual town of Berlin, MD. Our daughter told us about the antique shops. So on a chilly day we took a 25 minute drive from our base at Bethany Beach and did a little reminiscing and shopping. There are several antique stores and many nice restaurants. Being from Ohio and the land of the Western Reserve we felt right at home, we enjoy the colonial atmosphere. Great day trip and you can always end you visit at Ocean Downs.

We specialize in Quality, Distinctive, and Handcrafted Beers. We always have at least 18 beers on tap, one is always a nitrogenized version of one of our beers!
I have tried many sour beers- but these are the best. Since it is made there, every beer is so fresh. They have special beers on tap occasionally and man were they amazing. Only thing I didn't like- they wouldn't let us take the new ones home in a growler. BUT- I understand why (so everyone can try it) I will be back again!
P.s no food is offered, but you can bring in your own or order while you're there.

My husband, daughters, parents, sister, nieces, and nephew visited Ocean City for Easter weekend (March 30-April 1, 2018). We enjoyed walking this boardwalk. It is very spacious and features many of the family/individually owned shops and restaurants that create a welcomed sense of nostalgia.
During our stay, we purchased funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and homemade lemonade. We ate at a restaurant and purchased a few clothing items and souvenirs. Bicyclists (individual and family), "trikers", skateboarders, and joggers had plenty of room (and in some cases, their own lanes). We never felt too crowded. There were plenty of benches for lined along the stretch where we stayed and well lit for nighttime/early morning use.
Only thing I'd say is that some of the shops were closed (whether for the holiday or permanently I'm not sure). I don't know if this was due to inability to pay rent/operate or some other issue, but some stretches appeared a little worn down for this reason.
Overall. we love Ocean City's boardwalk and beach so we plan to return soon!

Miss Patti Cake made our wedding cake. It was hands down best tasting cake ever! And she wonderfully created a beautiful cake. Can't wait to buy future anniversary or birthday cakes from her. Worth the 45 minute commute, if even for just a cupcake!

There is something for everybody and lots of games and rides. You can buy a book of tickets to save money. I am not sure if all the rides are open in the fall so it would be good to check before going down to the inlet and being disappointed.. If you take the bus $3 per person all day you would not have to worry about parking. In the summer your best bet is to park in the inlet parking lot which is opened year round. Yes, it will cost to park there through the fall. That end of the boardwalk is still busy every weekend upto December. So if the weather is niice go!

Globe Theater is one of a few historic buildings in downtown historic Berlin that was turned to be used in this different function. that is a nice restaurant in town. While walking in the historic area of the town, stop by to take photos or to enjoy the food and drinks in side the building. It is located in the heart of the historic town of Berlin and is now a restaurant.
