It was a beautiful fall day. We enjoyed walking along the lake and downtown. Nice area for little shopping and a meal. Restrooms by the tourist information center and Paul Bunyan Park/Statue. Paul Bunyan Park has picnic tables, benches and pavilion if you want to enjoy a take out meal or just relax.

Chief Bemidji was the first permanent settler. During a time of conflict, Chief Bemidji brought people together. Very interesting history stop honoring him and his legacy. Chief Bemidji is situated along Lake Bemidji north of Paul Bunyan and Babe Statue.

We attended a Bemidji State Hockey game with my brother and nephew. Before the game we ate at the restaurant connected to the Sanford Center. It was convenient to park there early and grab a bite to eat and walk through hallways into the arena. The arena is wonderful addition to the Bemidji area. My husband was part of the team building the arena and always likes to point out the extra touches added to the building. The facility is very Minnesota Nice!
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes that through Jesus Christ all humankind may enjoy eternal life with their families in God’s kingdom (see John 3:16). We also believe that we lived with God as spirits before we were born (see Romans 8:16) and that according to His plan of happiness we came to earth to receive physical bodies in order to learn and grow. We also believe that, through the work done in temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, family relationships can last forever. In order to receive these blessings, we must seek to know and follow God’s will, as revealed by holy scriptures and living prophets, and live righteously.
