We may be the smallest museum in Northumberland but most visitors stay at least an hour and say they'll need to come back to see more! Run by volunteers who delight in the village's heritage and history, there are photographs, posters, artefacts, interactive screen, listening posts and much, much more. Open 50 weeks of the year, only closed two weeks for Christmas, 10-4. Ample free parking nearby. Best of all free admission! A history of ordinary folk with extraordinary stories.

Friendly Local Pub that has an open fire, live music, quiz night and a restaurant. Also bed and breakfast option. The pub is child and pet friendly. Service with a smile! :)
A really welcoming, dog friendly pub doing really good Sunday lunch, a great choice and some lovely home made desserts. Dogs welcome in the bar lounge while the restaurant area is dog free. The roast lamb was perfect and we shared a cheeseboard, which was enormous.

We had this planned along with other things whilst on holiday and took a trip from Seahouses one afternoon as the weather was indifferent. It was easily found with sat nav and was signposted from the car park. It was steep walk up hill with our 5 and 2 yr old but manageable. Overall distance probably 1 mile but definitely worth it as the cave was fantastic. The kids loved climbing around it and the view was stunning.
