Overall good value in combining both Panda and Leshan Great Buddha into one day, but be prepared for somewhat a slog. Panda visit is spot on--cute, informative and with lots of photo ops. Leshan requires a 2.5 hour ride each way which is more than the 2+ hour visit itself, so be prepared. Our guide was not the best--he was intermittently on his mobile dealing with other business matters, and concerned about getting back to Chengdu in time for his KTV date--but that aside, the trip is worthwhile especially if you come prepared with a little of pre-read from your Lonely Planet or other travel guide.

8. Bus tour to Jinshanling Great Wall
This group day tour is available daily all the year round. Each morning, you will be picked up from your midtown hotel, then you will go visit the major attractions together with other tourists. Groups are kept to about 20-40 passengers in an air-conditioned coach or van with a professional Beijing chauffeur and a licensed Beijing English speaking tour guide on board who will pass on their knowledge of the sites including facts, stories and local information. 1. After walking through the crazy crowds of people who visit the forbidden city we arrive at the ticket check area and they couldn't find our tickets. Called the tour operator. They told me that they will call in 5 minutes but none called back. I called back but none answered. It's a fraud don't buy from this company or whatever it is. Shame!
