CELLAR DOOR // CANTINA: Through the gate and down the old pathway leads to our historic warm friendly Cellar Door - Cantina located in the historic main street of Beechworth. Enjoy a memorable wine experience either in our intimate tasting room in front of the open fire or outside beneath the shade of the tortured willow in our secret courtyard. BYO food and vinyl welcome. THE STORY: An endeavour pursued by the family to preserve a heritage Shiraz vineyard planted in the 1890’s and pioneer Nero d’Avola and Durif grown at the Eldorado Vineyards with the reds supplemented by a chardonnay from the renowned Beechworth Wine region all crafted into a range of acclaimed wines for your drinking pleasure.
We booked a free wine tasting and it did not disappoint. We were well looked after and all the wines we tasted were delicious. The Luminoso Rosé was definitely our favourite. We stayed around for some more wine, took some home and returned the next day because we just couldn’t get enough

Step inside the Beechworth Honey Shop and discover Australia's largest range of single varietal honey. Our flagship store has our entire range of 100% Australian honey and honey products including skincare, confectionary, sparkling drinks, honey ice cream and beautiful honey inspired gifts. Open daily from 9.00am to 5.30pm.
A perfect little stop where you can taste around 20 different types of honey and buy all kinds of honey and beeswax related products. There are even gorgeous little totes, honey sweetened soda and honey mead... the soda is delicious and so is the honey/macadamia ice cream.

Wow. Just wow. Went and did our own tour thanks to the maps available when you walk thru the gates. So many old interesting graves. Yet so sad as well. Many babies/toddler graves from mid to late 1800s. Chinese graves were a real eye opener. A quiet, respectful, reflective experience.

Pennyweight Winery has been crafting fine wine spanning four decades and three generations. Certified organic and biodynamic, the winery and cellar door is located in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia.
Magnificent location nestled in the trees, just off the rail trail, in the hills of Beechworth. A famous name from the wine families of central Victoria, and a new wine experience that is a pleasure to experience. The only disappointing thing is the fact we can not take home enough...not because the ran out but rather because we couldn’t choose from the selection. Certainly worth a visit for white, red and fortified drinkers alike.

Visit our winery for a great wine tasting experience. You will be seated with beautiful Riedel crystal glasses to explore a flight of 4 white and 4 red wines from amazing Beechworth. Small, rustic but a great wine experience. Its all about the wine! PS we were selected by James Halliday as one of his Top 10 Dark Horse wineries for 2014. These are the ones that few know about but are producing way above their reputation. If you are hungry choose some local Gamze smallgoods & Milawa Cheese to make up a platter. Don’t forget to say hi to our pigs in the animal nursery. Exciting that our Secret Village Chardonnay was selected as Best of Region in the 2018 Australian Chardonnay Challenge. Note we will be closed on Melbourne Cup Day.
A great winery, with outdoor dining options. The pizzas are great, some above standard pizza toppings. I recommend booking if going at lunchtime. The service was excellent, with nothing a problem. They are part of a bike trail to explore.

Bridge Road HQ is situated in a circa 1850s Victorian Gold rush era coach house. This beautiful building has been our home since 2006. Our venue is famous far and wide not only for its beer and food but a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere. Our taproom showcases a rotating 20 tap house-brewed line-up featuring core range favourites and limited releases in a wide range of styles to cater for all beer lovers. Beer's not your thing? We pour a curated selection of wine, gin, and whisky all local to the North East.
Great location. Very family friendly. Pizzas were yummy too. We had the tasting paddle, highly recommend to taste the variety available. I recommend booking as its a very popular location.

Ever tried orange or mint honeycomb...No? Well then do yourself a favour and buy some to try!! There’s so many old favs like White Knights, and Choo Choo Bars that are hard to find now. Hard-boiled, chocolate-coated or jelly, good luck leaving empty-handed!!!

On our way to Beechworth we always stop at Woolshed Falls. The views and waterfalls are amazing. You can climb over the rocks ( suggest only if you are fit and healthy and wearing good footwear) or walk to the viewing platform next to the carpark which is even better for those wishing to capture beautiful images.

Restored Historical Tower Brewery. Visit us to learn about our history & try our large range of Beer, Cordials, Spirits and Sodas, all made on site. Book a booth in our Taproom or Speakeasy Lounge. Take a walk through our cellar to view our Barrel Room, Distillery and Brewery.
Billson’s Brewery is a fantastic place to visit, even for the kids! You can taste test there whole range from vodka, beer and cordials! No charge to taste test and it’s fun for the kids - we loved the cordials and came home with 8bottles ranging from $8.50 - $12 each, they are delicious mixed with lemonade or mineral water. The new owners have kept true to the history of Billsons and have done an amazing job re-opening this iconic brewery. The owners and staff are super lovey and accommodating. There is so much to explore around the brewery including old brewing/bottling equipment, carriages and an old school barber room. The food is sensational and there is a cool Speak Easy Gin Room downstairs with some board games and big comfy chairs. You can easily spend a few hours there - taste testing, exploring, having lunch & a drink or 2! We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.
