What to do and see in Bedok, Singapore: The Best Classes & Workshops

July 1, 2021 Jacquiline Delozier

The Singapore cityscape looks like it was ripped from the pages of a science fiction comic book. If you’re hungry for a true Singapore experience, sample the myriad street foods or take a cultural cooking class. The Botanic Gardens and the Gardens By the Bay offer a slice of horticultural heaven, and the observation deck of the Sands SkyPark makes you feel like you’re high above the clouds. The banks and walkways along the Singapore River bustle with local activity.

Cookery Magic

Come into Ruqxana's, The Food Sorceress, home kitchen! You’re invited to her home to learn how to cook popular Asian and Singaporean cuisine. From wannabe chefs to Cordon Bleu artistes, she has the class for you. The hands-on cooking class is followed by a sit-down meal and pleasant conversation. And sometimes the cat comes over to say hello, if he is in the mood!

We really enjoyed the cooking class with Shalu. We learned a lot and will definetly cook some south east asian dishes when we're back home in Germany! Thanks again Shalu!
