Michael has moved from Beaufort to the outskirts of Ballarat (Cardigan on the Western side on the old Highway). The new premises features a large rammed earth tasting shed. As yet, there is no food on offer but there is the potential to develop this and the grounds over the next few years. Michael has a wide range of wines, including rose, tempranillo, durif, petit verdot, cab sav and shiraz. Some of the wines are up to 14 years old. Michael also sources grapes from other regions so is not impacted by Ballarat's cool climate. If you like your wines, this winery is well worth a visit.

Erected in 1903 to commemorate the reign of the late Queen Victoria. features a band rotunda and clock. it was at the time thought to be the first memorial built for the queen in victoria. it's unique in that it has 3 different architectural styles; federation style base, art nouveau cast iron decorations and an edwardian baroque clock tower.. one of many pretty architectural gems in town

The gardens are very beautiful and the memorial is very well place with a long walkway up to it.The surrounding gardens have wood carvings that are excellent, a lot of work and planning has been put in to the effort. Very clean and shady, with mature trees, bench seats and picnic tables provided.
