We spent a week with all of our family in Wellington & took them to Sandbanks Provincial Park a number of times as they all loved the wonderful sandy beach & facilities The Grandchildren loved it & had a great time. It is so large & safe for the children as it is shallow for a long ways. Bring chairs & umbrellas & sunscreen.

Discover Belleville's Treasure: Glanmore National Historic Site. This grand Victorian mansion serves as both a historic house and community museum. It was built in 1883 for prominent Belleville Banker John Philpot Curran Phillips and his wife Harriet. Glanmore was designated a National Historic Site for its exceptional 2nd Empire style architecture. The historic house has had extensive restoration. The museum exhibits artifacts original to the historic house as well as fine art and decorative objects from the Couldery collection and artifacts that are significant to local history from the Regional collection. The museum is open-year round.
the self guided tour of this house is stunning, most of the furniture is authentic The home has been restored to a beautiful piece of art!

Ontario's oldest natural cavern. Offering guided tours and knowledgeable staff. Open from Victoria Day until Labour Day. Beautiful setting on 60 acres with nature trails and open fields.
These caves just outside of Belleville were quite fascinating - went on a tour there over the summer and got a chance to explore underground caves that are thousands of years old, fitted with steps and ramps for easy access in and out. Staff offered very interesting facts, were informative, and gave everyone enough time to check everything out. One small caveat - perhaps not for the very claustrophobic

This was my first time at Zwick’s Park and it won’t be my last! There’s a walking/biking path around the water (Bay of Quinte?) and a rocky shore that you can walk on to get closer to the water. Lily pads are plentiful, and we saw some wee turtles sunning on the logs. Bring your lunch and picnic at one of the tables. There’s a great children’s play area, and when we were there, live music! This is the perfect spot for photos of the water, boats, ducks (we saw a cormorant), the bridge over to Picton, etc... Simply a lovely spot.

It is a gem here in Quinte. Great for walking or mt. biking. The parking fees are pathétique, but this was the conversation authority's decision.

A nice short ferry ride on a scenic drive from Picton to Kingston. The 12ish car ferry leaves about every 15 minutes. You can walk, bike, or drive across.

Lake on the Mountain is a unique geological formation with a wonderful view of the channel and ferry to Adolphustown across from the lake. We've visited many times over the years always taking visitors new to our area for a short visit. You may still be able to fish and canoe, but you must bring your own equipment. Nice place to stop for a picnic or even better support the Miller House and with seasonal craft beers and wonderful charcuterie platters to share to go with a nice glass of wine, a favourite among small groups...my favourite stop on our tourist route! The restaurant at the Inn by the Lake on the Mountain is a favourite of our sons to take his lady for special dinners.
