If you’re looking for a budget-friendly island vacation, consider the Bay Islands. Each one appeals to different travelers—Roatan’s the most developed (but still not as built-up as, say, St. Thomas), Guanaia’s rustic and Utila’s in between. All three have great dive spots and beaches.

Manwakie Eco Nature Park Is the first outdoor nature park, where you will live and learn Roatan culture and history, at the same time interacting with the most beautiful exotic animal, it's a guided tour of all ages. This is a family park of culture, sloth's and monkey's.
This was an amazing park! William and his staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and so much fun! We learned about the animals as well as the island’s history We were shown natural remedies the locals use too. We had such a great time with monkeys , bunnies The gorgeous birds and the Sloths were so amazing this place is a must see

West Bay is what many consider the picture-perfect Caribbean destination: white sand, clear, calm waters and full service resorts. The variety of water activities include scuba diving, fishing charters, snorkeling and parasailing. Scuba diving and other outfitters leave directly from the beach so starting your water-based activities is easy and convenient.
Loved this beach was very safe both day and night lots of restaurants and bars the Palapa beach bar was excellent Juanito and his day team and Carlos and then night staff keep things lively and moving excellent food n drinks . And for out in the sea excitement check out the crew at West Bay Divers with 2 shops on the beach from scuba to snorkling they're the best specail shout out to Jorge Laínez for making my dive experience in Rotan amazing.

The 100% natural 40 acres of the Carambola Botanical Gardens and their many jungle trails offer a perfect place for hiking, wildlife and scenic photography, eco tours, bird watching, nature studies, and of course, relaxation. So, "take a walk on the wild side" and watch the playful Monkey La La scurry along jungle trails as you enjoy flowering plants, orchids, medicinal plants, exotic spices, fruit and nut trees, including the very popular "Chocolate Tree" and the world famous Honduran mahogany tree.
We love this place but wish it had frequent visitors discounts. We love the hikes and the information on the plants we see around Roatan.

Our family spent a week in Coconut House near Utila Cays and loved it. Not a location for those looking for the bar hopping & nightlife of Utila Town. About a 40 minute water taxi ride from town will get you to this small, beautiful and laid back locale. Friendly local people will make you feel welcome and good options for a wonderful local meal and a cold beer. Spent our week relaxing and diving with Utila Cays Diving - great experience. I think it would be a nice day trip from Utila Town, as well. Amazing sunrises & sunsets, incredible star gazing at night and friendly people. Worth the trip off the beaten path.

11.5 acre private island conveniently located just three minutes across the bay from the Roatan cruise pier and 15 minutes away from Mahogany Bay Cruise Pier. This pristine island features two secluded beaches, excellent snorkeling from a scenic pier, a 70,000 gallon swimming pool, 5,000 square foot lounge deck, lush garden paths bursting with indigenous flora and most recently an animal rescue center, artisan plaza and Roatan's finest cultural attraction, The Bay Island's Interpretation Center and Ethnic Honduran Art Exhibit Center.
About a 5-7 minute boat ride from the ship's pier in Roatan to the private island beach of Maya Key. Nice little beach area to sunbathe, or just relax in the shade, splash a bit in the waters, or other little excursions they have on the island, such as snorkeling, touring the rescued animals area and lunch is even included. They have a small gift shop, as well, but bring cash only! I enjoyed it!

Welcome to our Private Island Retreat......Best Moments....Both eco friendly and mystical, this place is built with kindness to the environment and people in mind, Little French Key is where you get back to your essence. Roatan is an uncommon place to rejuvenate physically, mentally and spiritually. .Join us for some of the best moments of your life.....
Cruising on the NCL Roatan was our 3rd stop out of 4 on a 7 day cruise. Right from the very beginning the people from Little French Key (LFK) were extremely helpful and informative. Straight from the dock, they got us into a comfortable van for the 30 min drive and got us underway. We were greeted by smiling faces and check in was a breeze. We did go ahead and prebook the VIP (horse riding, swimming w miniature pigs, snorkle tour, plenty of drink tickets, an impressive lunch, massages, and VIP seating) our group was given a short tour of LFK before Harlon (our personal guide) pulled us aside and escorted us to our private seating. He made sure we got everywhere we needed to be in a timely manner and took care of our every need! We enjoyed LFK so much we are planning a long weekend back in the very near future. Do yourself a favor go, get the VIP, and ask for Harlon. You'll thank me later.

Nice beach, protected swimming/snorkeling area and access to may dive boats and fishing charters as well as several beach bars. Certainly a busy beach especially on cruise ship days. We preferred the beaches further west on the strip but that was mostly because they were closer to our accommodation.

Visit utila onboard with our new ferry Utila Dream. an easy and economic way to travel now from the bay island of Roatan and the mainland-La ceiba to the beautiful island of Utila.
Our trip was smooth sailing going out, but the ferry offers Dramamine if needed. Interior seating areas are all air conditioned and there is exterior seating as well. There is a good parking lot about 100 yards west of the Roatan ferry terminal in Coxen Hole. Lester runs it and he is a good guy who will help carry your luggage.

Arrived here on tui discovery2 , it is a short easy walk through the terminal shops, into a beautiful shopping area, and then a choice either a chair lift to the beach or a short walk, the beach is free to use for cruisers, with beds and a lovely beach of white sand although man made it is impressive, not the true Honduras but cheaper than the expensive tour alternatives
