This park has two camping loops located about a mile from the office. We stayed in loop two which was the paved road loop. When reserving a site, you do not get a designated site. Gravel Sites were spacious, easily accessible and most looked fairly level with electric, water, fire ring and picnic table. Each loop had a restroom/bath house. There was also a playground. We stayed only one night so did not get to enjoy the nature trails or visit the farm animals. Campground was clean and full of families enjoying the park. Would like to visit again when we can stay longer.

Little Ocmulgee State Park and Lodge is a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a weekend when in South Georgia. We camped in a travel trailer while in the area. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The campground was well maintained with a modern and clean bath house. We did not eat at the on site restaurant but riding by one night the fried chicken smelled great! You can also play golf at the course which appeared well maintained. We did walk one of the two marked trails which was interesting. I would suggest the addition of a third shorter loop for those wanting to keep the walk under a mile. Unfortunately, the lake was almost dry and access to it was closed. Hopefully, this is a temporary situation which can be remedied by some extra rainfall. The visitor center at the lake was also closed which was a disappointment, looks like a good volunteer opportunity! Originally built during the depression, it has many beautiful old shelters and buildings which take me back to my childhood.

Come smell the Vidalia Onions! The Vidalia Onion Museum provides guests with an interactive, historical experience. The 1,300-square-foot space is filled with an array of educational exhibits that highlight the sweet onion's economic, cultural and culinary significance.
A small Museum with a lot of history. You learn all about the history of the Vidalia onion through pictures, exhibits and a film. The Museum is self guiding and very informative. A nice little stop

We are open during the months of June-July with farm fresh produce we close the first week in August. We re-open the first weekend in October for our fall festivities and are open every weekend during the month.
If you want fresh vegetables this is the place to get them, from shelled peas and beans, tomatoes, okra and
fresh fruit. This is the farm. It was recommended by another vendor and when your competition send customers to another business, you know its great. The staff is very friendly and will give suggestion and information on the seasonal harvest.

We were staying in the area and stopped by for lunch. The pimento cheese sandwich was amazing and just enough food. Hubby had the chicken and dumplings with their fresh homemade bread. We enjoyed the wine tasting, bought a few bottles to bring home. Their dogs are super friendly as well! Such a great gem in the middle of farm country.

Peaceful, clean and beautiful. A small garden wanders around the small park., has benches and is nicely manicured. The chapel is beautiful, wooden cross, comfy seats and a beautiful picture of Jesus using several kinds of wood cut out pieces. Just breath taking, lots of stained glass windows. Such a wonderful, serene place.

Part of a working farm in Georgia's fertile coastal plain, Buckhorn Creek Ranch offers a chance to participate in the workings of a farm home to many species of exotic and native animals. On your guided wagon tour, help the owners feed the herd while learning about Bison,European red deer,Watusi cattle and more! Children love to hunt our resident birds such as peacock and pheasant.Call for appt.
Tours of exotic animals year round, kids summer camps, plants and farm animals for sale. This is hands down the best establishment locally for a healthy family outing. I love my taking my children there. There has never been a dull trip. Very educational too!

Unfortunately, the Archives is only open on Friday afternoons due to a volunteer staff. It houses the historical records for Tattnall County, GA. Maybe arrangements can be made by calling the number for more information. The records are so extensive that a serious researcher would have to make multiple visits to accomplish any serious in-depth research.
