This is a rustic vintage restaurant and bar on the Mediterranean. It serves fresh food specifically Sea Food. It can also be considered a place where you can swim, drink, and eat at the same time. They also offer Shisha on the beach.
Pierre and Friends has an indoor and outdoor Seating, both are nice but I recommend the indoor Seating for winder days so as to enjoy the fantastic ambiance on the beach.
The food is a big story specially the sea food. You must try the Grilled Octopus, Octopus Provencal, Calamari cooked with its ink, and other ordinary Lebanese classics like tabboule, Fattouch, Hommos.
The fresh fish is really expensive but you don't need to go for it... All the other items in the menu are delicious including the mixed grill.
This place is a must have

To be clear from the beginning, this review is not about the wine that they make, but rather about the winery visit. We drove out from Beirut, and followed gps instructions to 'Ixsir'. But gps got us lost and took us on several dirt mountain roads, and eventually to a dead end. So, my first recommendation: do not you use gps to navigate in the region, even if you find that it is quite reliable in Beirut.
We got to the winery late, and we obviously missed our reservation for the winery tour. But, since most us in the group didn't care much about the visit and were more interested in tasting Ixsir's products, we remained keen on going in and inquiring about the tasting session. The staff kindly acknowledged and offered us a rosé (Altitude Rosé) to start the tasting session with. After the rosé we moved straight to a red (their top of the pyramid wine - El rouge). AND THAT WAS IT!
It is a pity that a winery as well funded as Ixsir is investing so little attention to attract true wine lovers who would rather have an actual tasting session, then stroll around the winery and take random pictures. I was honestly very curious about their white (El - blanc), and their more affordable red, which they didn't even bother offering. What's more shocking was that earlier that week we had visited a much smaller family winery in Batroun that had us try 5 of their wines. When we pointed this out to the staff at Ixsir, they politely said that they had strict orders from the administration to only offer 2. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
My last recommendation is the following: go there for the mountain scenery, and maybe for the visit, but if you're truly interested in tasting Batroun Wine, avoid Ixsir and try one of the smaller producers.

The Old City of Batroun along the sea coast of Lebanon houses a magnificent Crusader Period Orthodox Church named: St George.
The minute you enter this small house of worship you are taken by its’ interior beauty the outstanding arched ceiling and glorious Chandelier suspended from it! You know and understand immediately the age of this wonderful site!
The church is very well maintained and offers one a great photo experience! This is a “must see” visit while in Batroun!!

I recently was part of a 32-member international team that came to Lebanon to do the Muskathlon. We had each raised a lot of money to help the Syrian refugees living in camps there. I was to ride a tough 120km in a remote area and when I approaced Bike Route, Batroun with my request re: bike rental, they decided to GIVE me a bike for the week free of charge!! I will always remember their generosity and goodwill! I LOVE Lebanon! (Marwan, thank you very much for your kindness and help!) :-)
