Lovely children's park, great picnic spots in shade as well as free BBQ and sheltered Seating. Excellent little kids discovery trail through forest. Many additional walks of varying level/distance including all-ability. Grab the kids brochure for them to find things along the way. Take bug spray, lots mozzies, don't forget sunscreen and water. No bins so be sure to take a rubbish bag if your having a picnic/BBQ. Cafe looked nice but we didn't stop as they were closing (4:00).

I was slightly apprehensive about this place. Some of the cages seem a bit small. But overall I was happy with my experience here.

This is a great little museum, wouldn't think you could cram so much stuff in together but it still looks really good.
Lots of things from the sea, from shark jaws to sea-shells to puffer fish and all things in between. Also a small opal section
The owner is very friendly and likes a chat. He also helped us out with other things to do in the area which i didn't find at the information centre so very informative and helpful. Lots of parking out the front.
Only a small entry fee and well worth it.

This museum is set in the old courthouse, and has quite an extensive array of exhibits. The entry fee was simply a gold coin donation, and on the day that we were there it was very quiet.
We enjoyed discovering a little more about the area and its history, and as a retired teacher, I particularly enjoyed the exhibits of schools and teachers in the 'good old days'. I had no idea that going to the barber for a shave was such a decadent activity.
The volunteer staff were friendly and keen to help with any enquiries but were not too intrusive, which can sometimes be a problem with overly enthusiastic, bored staff.
An unexpected treat was to observe the thousands of bats resting in the trees around the museum. We had seen them flying across the sky at sunset the night before, and wondered where they spent their days. Now we know.

Zippity Doo is a kid’s playhouse where you just let your kids entertain themselves while you can have time by yourself or with friends, eating and relaxing with a hot coffee in our cafe. Let’s face it, kids need serious stimulation and if they don’t have things to play with to keep them distracted, things can spiral out of control.
Both my children have had parties here and had a ball. Annette was lovely and catered to our needs. The centre is always very clean and the kids are guaranteed to have fun. Great food & coffee too

The Village Centre is a bright, modern shopping centre anchored by Coles, Kmart and Aldi. There are a number of cafes and eateries, as well as fashion stores, a chemist, jewellers and more. The centre also features a large undercover parking area accessible from Perry St, a children's playground and a well equipped parents room.
