Milea Bee Farm

Milea Bee Farm is not not your typical, manicured farm. You will be visiting a small farm dedicated for the propagation and care of various species of honey producing bees. It is situated in a secluded area with no neighbours and without electricity, and it's a five minute walk from the parking area. Visitors will be having a guided tour to see the bees in their habitat. We have the Italian Bees, Philippine Native Honey Bees and different kinds of Philippine Native Stingless Bees. You can have a taste of honey, fresh from the bee hive; know and see the different honey producing bee species; know the sources of nectar and pollen as well as edible flowers; discover the relationship between bees & flowers; and how bees are closely related to the food chain. It will be an entirely new experience which gets you much closer to nature. Milea Bee Farm is only open to visitors every first Saturday of the month. Please note that this is not a resort and we do not have a restaurant though we serve food using farm produced ingredients with prior arrangement. Hope we could share to you why bees are important and how you can lend a hand in our campaign and the worldwide concern to help save the bees.

The place features a lot of sightseeing, activity and eating choices. The trek to the volcano shows the past sites of volcanic eruptions. Along the ridge, there’s a mini zoo, horseback rides and entertainment places like the Tagaytay Highlands. The place also features popular restaurants known for gourmet food, coffee and local beef dish called bulalo. Taal Volcano and Tagaytay present a lot of attractions that will satisfy every visitor or tourist.

It was a pleasant surprise to discover this hidden paradise. This was my second option to go to. When I arrived, i found it unique because before reach the beach, you have to pass by a rice field. The sand is fine and the water is crystal clear! Love to be back there again someday.

Twin Lakes

Reviewed By adsp2018 - Manila, Philippines

If you’re a staying guests of Twin Lakes Hotel and you still have plenty of free time to stay in Tagaytay , make sure to include in your itinerary an ample time to stroll and explore around Twin Lakes Shopping Village, the township’s first commercial development comprised of Retail Shops, Food and Beverages/Bars,Supermarket and the equally-famous Welcoming Gate with its signature “Twin Lake” grammable signage. An added attraction in the village is the stunning view of Taal Lake through its overlooking view deck giving a free glimpse of the world’s smallest active volcano inside the small crater that is finely-coordinated with the fresh air, charming views, lush surroundings and magnificent view of the castle-inspired Twin Lakes Hotel from afar that is becoming a favorite subject among photography enthusiasts. Aside from the scenic landscapes, cooler climate, and other natural attractions, Tagaytay is known for its variety of food destinations that most visitors find truly memorable to experience and satiate your cravings wonderfully. If you’re in the Twin Lakes Shopping Village will absolutely won’t disappoint your taste buds and craving stomach as it houses a variety of restaurants and cafes showcasing different features, themes, and concepts. I had a chance to try three foodie destinations – a cafe, and two restaurants for a worth-filling and enjoyable food trippin’ pursuit. We started our food journey in Hap Chan Twin Lakes Branch which is part of the long-established leading authentic Chinese Restaurant Chain in the Philippines known for its classic Hong Kong dining experience concept. The next stop is the modern style French Cafe Le Creperie that specializes in Parisian meals, hearty dishes with distinctive European and taste and specialty desserts headlined by its well-loved signature crepes. For our last stop before heading back to Manila is the Filipino restaurant Bagoong Club that makes you savor and discover the unique and flavored Filipino dishes with their very own special Bagoong (a sauce or paste with made from fermented or salted fish) infused in their menu offerings. Another must-visit restaurant in the village, I swear (especially if you’re a Filipino food lover like me)! Every restaurant in the Twin Lakes Shopping Village has its balcony or veranda overlooking the Taal Volcano and the Twin Lakes Hotel ideally for photography or solo and group shots or if your group preferred to eat outside the main dining area. It also has access to the petite ground at the back perfect to stroll around its greenery surroundings breathing the fresh air and taking some quality time with yourself and your loved ones (and significant behalf). There are spots in the area where you can have your favorite OOTD shots either your solo shot or with your family and friends. Lastly, I found out also that “the most beautiful Starbucks outlet in the Philippines” is confined in the shopping village. Due to limited time, I wasn’t able to quickly visit the shop but I’ll make sure to drop by next time I’ll visit Tagaytay again. The moment you plan to visit Tagaytay for your next weekend getaway (or any given day), make sure to include Twin Lakes Shopping Village on your itinerary if you are hoping to discover and explore the great mix of promising and value-for-money restaurants, cafes, and hang-out places where you can stay and do your serious stuff, or simply spend your chill hours in with your family and friends with added scenic views of the majestic Taal Volcano and the Tagaytay cold weather known (and loved) for over the years.
