Come see reptiles from around the World. From snakes to lizards to dragons to crocs... The TRZ is located in Central Texas and is an exhibit, education and behavioral research facility where patrons can view and learn about varied species of Reptiles from around the World.
I’m not a huge fan of snakes and such BUT... when my kids make me go to these places it’s not that bad. It’s really cool to see all of the different species. This place was fun for all ages.

Excellent spot to enjoy a wide variety of libations. Great selection of tasty cigars and the young lady behind the bar is quite attentive and knowledgeable about what’s what. Well done.

Visited during our annual family gathering and it was well worth the 1.5 hr drive. Logan was amazing as he helped and encouraged our kids and parents (13-65) to ensure everyone had a blast. A cooler with drinks and snacks along with camp chairs and shade tent made it easy to spend the day there. Those too old/young to participate have water access via a man-made beach area to play/cool off. It’s already an affordable day however his military discount made us deeply appreciate his way of giving back to veterans. Thanks Logan!!! This was the highlight of our week!

Sugar Shack is a gift & candy store. Stop and take a walk down memory lane. Our shop allows you to remember the sweets of your youth and to create memories with your children. A must see in Bastrop
If you have a sweet tooth, this is your shop. If you need a gift or souvenir, this is your shop. The aroma of chocolate when you enter is intoxicating. Sugar Shack is a delightful store of truffles and chocolate dipped or covered almost everything. YUM! They also feature old fashioned candies. Gifts of all kinds. I often shop there when I'm looking for something special for someone special. Or just for something unique that I know will be cherished. Shopping here brings a smile to my face. Wonderful store. I hope you'll go see for yourself. <3
