My wife and I visited Barcelos Market at the beginning of September. Initially I was sceptical about going as I thought it would be really could and in these present time, I didn’t particularly want to be in a crowded area. On arrival I was surprised how big the market actually was, I was also happy that due to the size you comfortably walk around with bumping into other people or even feeling in close proximity to the other visitors. The market has just about everything that you would expect and need and even somethings that will surprise you. All at prices that are very reasonable. I must admit I’m not normally a fan of market but this market felt original and authentic, which made for an interesting and enjoyable visit. After walking around the market for a couple of hours we retired to a nearby cafe for a coffee and bola de Berlim and to watch the world go by.
