What to do and see in Barcelona, Catalonia: The Best Literary, Art & Music Tours

April 27, 2022 Leonarda Pillsbury

Barcelona feels a bit surreal – appropriate, since Salvador Dali spent time here and Spanish Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí designed several of the city’s buildings. Stepping into Gaudí’s Church of the Sacred Family is a bit like falling through the looking glass - a journey that you can continue with a visit to Park Güell. Sip sangria at a sidewalk café in Las Ramblas while watching flamboyant street performers, then create your own moveable feast by floating from tapas bar to tapas bar.

We spent 3 days in Barcelona on a private tour with Barcelona's Best Tour Guide, Feliciano. We visited Montserrat, the wine district, Costa Brava and Barcelona city sights. Feliciano makes you feel just like family. He is warm, kind, funny and so knowledgable with impeccable English. What he doesn't know about the beautiful Catalunya region of Spain is probably not worth knowing. Our experience was so much richer in his hands. Can't wait to go back and again.

It certainly brightened up our days during these difficult times. Thank you!

This was a bummer. Another couple from a hotel were also picked up 80 minutes late. They missed breakfast waiting around early for the agreed time. Company send an apology. thankfully we did not have any plans in late afternoon. Guide extended the end time. He also bought small snacks for everyone to make up for late start. He was friendly and kind. Although my mom wanted more picture pause during the tour.
