St. Peter and Paul Church

Reviewed By mom511 - Paranaque, Philippines

We left our resort in Sta Fe almost 5pm , we just wanted to visit the church and light candles ( something we practice everytime we visit a new church) and whisper our prayers. From the resort to the highway to get a trimotor it was 20 pesos per head. from the highway to Bantayan where the church was , was another 30 pesos per head for a 30 minute ride. WE arrived during the evening angelus prayers and luckily the old caretaker allowed us to get some quick shots on our phone cameras before he closed the church doors. the ceiling mosaics was beautiful, the altar where the retablos were , was also beautiful. The church just like the old churches in the different provinces of the Philippines is a treasure to behold. Lets all hope it remains preserved and cared for.

Paradise Beach

Sandira Beach (aka Paradise Beach) is a 30 min walk from Santa Fe town, or few min by bike. There is a 50php fee. Being said that, the place is just amazing, very quite with one of the best water I’ve ever seen. There is no bar or anything that sells water, beer or food so you should organize yourself. There are some wooden beach umbrellas that create some helpful shadow :)

Entrance Fee: PhP500 (traveled solo) Your stay in Virgin Island is worth your time. You can just stay here (for half a day, if you want) and skip going to Hilantagaan Island (there is nothing much to see in Hilantagaan...sorry to say). Beach bumming at it's finest at the back/farthest portion of the island (Swear! You will be mesmerized how crystal clear the water is.)

Omagieca Mangrove Garden

Reviewed By Nielioan - Bulacan Province, Philippines

i really enjoyed my walk around this mangrove garden. the bamboo bridges were sturdily done and despite the inevitable creaking sounds your every step makes, this won't hamper your confidence in finishing the whole tour. the view of the ocean was just spectacular as you reach the posterior portion. the sky and the sun were in perfect harmony to compliment the blue-ness of the sea. breath-taking indeed. if you love communing with nature, this is the place. i can imagine how this would appear at night when fireflies abound and lit the place like stars falling from above. oh, wow... the 50 pesos entrance fee is underrated. whoever thought of coming up with this place, s/he is brilliant. deserves all the accolades.
