Bandon (/ˈbændən/) is a city in Coos County, Oregon, United States, on the south side of the mouth of the Coquille River. It was named by George Bennet, an Irish peer, who settled nearby in 1873 and named the town after Bandon in Ireland, his hometown. The population was 3,066 at the 2010 census.

This is golf heaven on earth. Five 18 hole immaculate golf courses plus a 13 hole par three plus a free par three course. We stayed at the lodge overlooking the golf course. There are many restaurants within the resort the food was incredible every time we ate. Every single employee offered incredible service. If you are a dedicated golfer I cannot recommend this experience enough.

Face Rock State Park has a myriad of beautiful sea stacks that make for exceptional photography in the right lighting conditions. Face Rock itself is not all that interesting on its own, but the large number of beautiful sea stacks are simply terrific. Definitely worth a stop if you are near Bandon Beach,

If you have time for only one place to see the coastline in Bandon, please go to Coquille Point at the end of 11th Street right next to the Bandon Beach Motel. We have come to Bandon for 31 years and we spend most of out time at this location. Easy paved walk along the bluff...benches to sit on...a great place if mobility is an issue or you can walk down the steps (100+) to the beach and walk. I didn't know it was called Kronenberg Park !! Try to be there at sunset because some are extraordinary like this one last week.

Bandon State Park was a very peaceful place to spend a morning. The sea stacks of Devil's Kitchen were especially interesting from a photographic perspective, and I found myself truly enjoying wandering along the beach with my camera. If you are in the area, Bandon Beach State Park is definitely worth a visit.

This is a must visit if you care about the health of our oceans. They provide a great education regarding the polluting of our beaches and the negative impact on sea life, The sculptures are amazing, made from trash picked up at beaches

Founded in 1983, the Second Street Gallery is conveniently located in the heart of old town Bandon, Oregon with easy access to State Highway 101 and walking distance to the harbor. Initially Second Street Gallery was a co-op, organized by a group of local artist. Today the gallery represents the work from about 130 artist and vendors primarily in the Pacific Northwest, working in a wide range of mediums. 75% if these artist reside in the state of Oregon, while the rest call Washington, California or Canada their home. Please take time to peruse the Second Street Gallery and be treated to a panoply of original art and gifts including paintings, photography, bronze statues, collages, wood work, pottery, candles, silk, cards, jewelry, metal work, soap, glass, fiber, knives, wind chimes and much more. Once you visit and enjoy the relaxing atmousphere, you will know why the Second Street Gallery is a must to visit in Bandon!

Beautiful artwork and crafts made by skilled artisans. There were a lot of items that I wanted to buy including some carvings and woodwork pieces. This is a store that I would go back to on every visit to see what was new.

This is a glass studio and the artwork here was amazing. They had items that were blown glass, earrings that were fused glass, beautiful vases, Christmas ornaments, paperweights, and lots of other fine quality glass art. Glass is pretty amazing and very versatile and is sort of my passion. People who aren’t interested in glass as much as I am would probably be less interested, but for me it was a real treat.

Circles in the Sand creates walkable art on the beach in Bandon, Oregon. Public schedule is year round with the Summer Season being May through September (check website for dates and times). Labyrinth artist Denny Dyke creates his Dreamfield Labyrinth with a single path meandering through the entire pattern with no wrong turns or dead ends. There is no charge to attend an event and the path is kid and pet friendly.

A secret gem of an activity in the quaint little town of Bandon Oregon. An all volunteer team, under the direction of a fantastic man named Denny. They create a labyrinth to walk through (about a half mile) in the sand at low tide among the most beautiful setting on the southern Oregon Coast. Get there early to watch them create and explore the caves and tide pools around. If you want to volunteer to help rake, you can sign up on their website: sandypathbandon.com or on their FB page. It truly is amazing and a wonderful experience. We stayed in old town at the Bandon Inn. Get a top room for a better view and you won’t hear others above you. Another fantastic activity is crabbing off the pier. Rent everything from Tony’s Crab Shack. Then have them clean & cook the delicious crab and eat them right there feet away from catching them. It’s quite the experience.
