300+ acres of artistically landscaped gardens surrounded by majestic forest, spring-fed ponds, streams, waterfalls and bridge crossings. Sixteen garden venues include four feature gardens including the Daffodil Gardens, 50 acres of daffodils with more than 20 million blooms, blooming from March to early April; the Manor House Gardens, designed to offer color in spring, summer and fall, with lush terraces, waterfalls, sweeping lawns and woodland; the Monet Waterlily Gardens, featuring 140 varieties of waterlilies blooming from late spring through fall; the Japanese Gardens spanning more than 40 acres with spring-fed ponds, islands, bridges, boulders, rocks and 40 handcrafted Japanese lanterns. A large collection of Japanese maples provide brilliant colors in autumn. We welcome you to visit our Gardens at least once every three weeks, from Feb. 14 through early Dec., to see its ever changing beauty.
We visited on Feb 26, 2020, and the hillsides were filling with color from the blooming daffodils. The best is yet to come, but the gardens are beautiful already. During our hour-long walk, we saw lots of daffodils in a serene forest setting, hellebores (Lenten Roses) blooming by the Manor House, a zillion shades of green in the Japanese Garden, and much more. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy to answer your questions. The tram provides an easy way to get to the daffodils. Highly recommend a visit to Gibbs Gardens catch the daffodils in March and then again throughout the season. There is always something in bloom.

I had heard of this place all my life but had never been. Didn’t know was so close to where we live. Great place for picnic or to just play in the water. Most of the picnic tables are shaded and if your lucky you might snag a table by the river. The falls are flat and you can walk out in the water. There is a covered bridge, one of the 12 in Georgia. It is dog friendly. Great place to spend the day.
