The historical center of Baku reveals its tumultuous past, from its roots as a Persian capital, through its oil boom to its Soviet occupation. The old city is a maze of alleys, mosques, historic buildings and remnants of fortification, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Maiden Tower, now listed among UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. Much more than a historic site, the city hosts vibrant arts and cultural activities, as well as a bustling modern business sector.

Unique nature, nice climate and gorgeous air -all this you will find in Quba. Then our rout heading 60 up in the mountains - to the unique place “ Xinaliq", "Khinalug"; also rendered as Khanaluka, Khanalyk, Khinalykh, or Khynalyk) is an ancient Caucasian village going back to the Caucasian Albanian period. It is located high up in the mountains of Quba Rayon, Azerbaijan. Khinaliq is among the most ancient and continuously inhabited places in the world, with history of over 5,000 years. Because of the high altitude and remoteness of Khinaliq it managed to survive and withstand many invasions. There are also some other historical places such as a 12th-century mosque, a 15th-century mosque, and several ancient cemeteries between the mountains

This is a long overdue review. We went last year and Amir was very helpful. He picked us up and brought us to the hotel and gave us tips on where to go in Baku. The guide/driver he assigned to us, Vlad, was also great and knowledgeable about the places we went to. It was a long drive to Khinaliq, but in the end, it was worth it. We had lunch at one of the local's houses, very good food and authentic experience.

Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia Tour 12 days Discover three countries Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan- in just one tour. The soaring Caucasus Mountains separate Europe from Asia, and the South Caucasus countries are on that borderline. Inhabitants of Azerbaijan burned crude oil in their lamps before anyone knew what it was. Beautiful, rocky Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as its official religion. And Georgia, acclaimed for its fabulous food and drink, claims to be the first area to cultivate the wine grape. These countries are distinguished by their distinct histories, traditions, cultures and natural surroundings

Firstly credit where it’s due - value for money on our tour of the Southern Caucuses was pretty good as it was half board. The downside of that was that we never got to choose any of our own food and, although there was a variety of dishes served, it’s not the same as having a free choice. Secondly, the tour started each morning right after breakfast, went on all day and finished by going straight to dinner in the evening. This meant no free time at all which isn’t good when you’re visiting foreign countries. Finally, all of our tour group wanted to visit a bazaar one day, rather than yet another church. However, we were told that we weren’t allowed to. We didn’t appreciate being treated like children since all the group were between late 30s and late 70s.

We went on two day trips with Rufat. One to Gobustan and Ateshgah and another to the rainbow mountains with a hike to the top of beybeyim dagi. The guide was very good at customizing both trips to our wishes and hiking level. We had a great time both days and I can highly recommend using this company for guide service both in and outside of Baku. Rufat was very friendly, fun to have around, had great language skills and knew a lot about history and nature.

The provided tour to the outskirts of Baku and inside Baku was up to high level of standard. I loved the flexibility of the tour guide. She was a well educated young lady with deep knowledge of history and political situation. She patiently explained our questions and she dealt very friendly. Shahnaz as her name was, took us to nice spots and gave us satisfactory background information about the places we visited.
