The Gaudí Centre Reus is a tribute by the town of this birth to its most famous son. It is the only interpretive centre that deals with the life and works of Gaudí. It is a new facility equipped with the most modern infrastructure and the latest in audiovisual technology, created to open up your senses and mind to new experiences. An experience which allows you to familiarise yourself with Gaudí and the secrets of genius.
Last year when we were in Barcelona, we have seen quite a few of Gaudi monuments and found them very beautiful and interesting. Therefore, when we discovered that there is Gaudi Centre in Reus (birthplace of Gaudi), we decided to make this detour on our way from Tarragona to Valencia. Oh boy, what a nice experience and what an increase of our knowledge of Gaudi. There is a very deep car park nearby but it has very narrow ramps and spaces. Fortunately, our car has a good warning system as otherwise we would have come out with scratches all around. Obviously, the driver was also excellent!

Wonderful landscape, great water and friendly people. My husband felt dizzy and very quickly people came to help us. Such a wonderful beach and kind people (specially the guy of the wooden bar, who allowed us to stay some time on the shade and asked often how we were doing) made me feel in paradise.

Parc Samà is a garden with memory, a Mediterranean orchard, a poetic forest, a melancholic palace… Parc Samà is the summer residence that in 1881 built Salvador Samà, Marquis of Marianao, between Cambrils and Montbrió, surrounded by vineyards, olive and almond trees. It is the legacy of an ‘Indiano’, a fusion of styles and a delight for the senses.
We spent a lovely morning at Parc Sama situated a short drive away from Cambrils centre. This beautiful Parc has so much to offer and will appeal to many tastes. The Parc has wildlife such as deer which you can feed, peacocks roaming the grounds and turtles swimming in the lakes! There is a magnificent lavender field, a grand Manor House and bridges and pathways that take you on a journey into its past glory. This tranquil haven is complete with different species of plants and trees some of which are rare. There is a small gift shop selling local produce and souvenirs and the place is run by friendly helpful staff.
